Okay, so I have no clue what caused me to write this, but here...
I don't own any characters, or sadly, lemon drops.
Severus Snape did not like lemon drops.
This was the reason he didn't see why Dumbledore always had to ask Severus if he would like one, every time he visited Dumbldore's office. Honestly. EVERY TIME.
So, of course the next time Dumbledore offered him the sickeningly sweet yelow candy, he had to ask,
"Headmaster, could you stop asking me if I want one of those horrible Muggle sweets?" Although, it wasn't said as a question, more of a demand.
But, with hesitation, Dumbledore agreed to his request. As for the rest of the year, Dumbledore had not yet asked Severus if he wanted a lemon drop.
On the last day of school at Hogwarts, Severus could not help himself from looking at the small bowl of lemon drops that sat on the corner of Dumbledore's desk. Something came over him, and he couldn't help himself.
"Headmaster?"
"Yes Severus?"
He hesitated. "May I have a lemon drop?"
Severus Snape swore he saw Dumbledore's eyes twinkle.
