A/N:A messed up little drabble thing that I came up with, because I'm STILL bored out of my mind. I don't know where this came from, I just wanted to write somethign were Sanzo shot Goku, so, this is what happened. Enjoy.
An Impossible Miss
"Sanzo?"
"Hm?"
"A promise."
"A Promise?"
"Promise me that when I loose myself, that you'll be the one to kill me."
Violet eyes met Gold, and for a moment, time stood still. "I promise."
When metal met dirt, there seemed to be a small pang that rang off the hot, empty air. All eyes were on the boy as screams tore through the small town, it was deafening for all to hear. The boy screamed as his body began to undergo a transformation. His demonic traits took shape, and soon Seiten Taisei stood at full power. From then it was easy to slaugher all those in the area.
How could this have happened? They had been so careful. But when Goku was thrown back, his diadem was thrown from his head, landing with a deafening clank on the ground. As the monster finished it's rampage on the weak little demons that surrounded him, he turned his eyes to meet more formitable oponents.
Violet eyes met Gold, and time seemed to stand still.
No one would come to save him this time. The monkey-boy they all knew and loved was dead. Lost in the depths of a monster that had swallowed the his soul. And as he ran, Sanzo raised his gun, taking perfect aim. He was within sights.
It was an impossible miss.
He cocked it back, watching as the monster drew closer and closer.
And he hesitated.
"Sanzo! Can I have some meat buns?"
"Sanzooooo! I'm hungry!"
"Sanzo! C'mon Sanzo!"
"Sanzo!"
Sanzo gripped the cold metal of the Smith & Wesson in his hand, before reluctantly pulling the trigger.
He watched, sickened, as Goku was thrown back. It seemed like forever until his back finally connected with the ground. Blood splattered through the air. Blood of the monster whose hands were already so tainted. Blood of the boy they loved so much. Blood that Sanzo was sickened to see. Shot back with a single bang, hitting the ground with a dull thud. Sounds were emphasized by Sanzo's brain, sounds he so despised.
Hakkai and Gojyo ran to his side, but it didn't matter. He was shot with a banishing gun. The boy was dead. As the metal gun began to weight in his hand, he let it fall to the ground, sinking to his knees as well.
He stared at the blood pooling out from the small body. Blood. Too much blood. He cursed his perfect aim softly.
A straight shot to the heart.
An impossible miss.
