It was in the diamond. Of course it was in the diamond. The best place to hide something like this: where nobody can touch it, and surrounded by a lot of people like rich pals and police officers. Of course it was in the diamond. The best place to hide a weapon… The best place to hide a bomb. She discovered it after some investigation into the Coin Gang, a crime organization which had the bad idea to strike against healthy persons. This time, they wanted to bombed the Plaza, the town's most prestigious restaurant, and by chance the place where she, Jack, worked. Jack could call the police and explain the situation, like any person with some common sense would do, but that would spoil the fun, right ? Sure, it meant that Jack had no one by her side, again, but at least nobody would be hurt. She couldn't slow down anyway, she was like that, little Jack, leaving all behind, nothing left to do. She would probably lose her job on this mission. Too bad, she liked the singer, she was very pretty and very talented. Another reason why Jack had to steal the diamond, she didn't want Rachel to be killed by those villains. If she stole the gem, either she stole the bomb and she could run away with it or she stole the real diamond and the Gang couldn't put the fake one. She just had to not be caught by the police. Easy. Jack didn't seem very strong but I assure you before you could find her she was gone. See ? The alarm was ringing but nobody saw her taking the diamond. Only the inspector, the cute inspector, suspected her so she took the best exit (aka the window). She didn't expect the gunshots though, policemen were crazy or… or maybe they thought she was one of the Coin Gang. Well damn. But Jack wouldn't stop until she won the race, although she may had crossed the line. So she entered into the casino in front of the Plaza which was called, hum, Paza. Totally not the director not wanting to search for an original name. She almost lost the diamond and had to go to the roof, not really thinking everything through, not regret what she did either. Because that was how she felt free. That was how she felt alive. And she didn't care that nobody could see the good inside her, and that this behavior could lead her in prison. At least she spent some time with this (really) cute inspector who was following her. She wondered if he knew she was a girl, not that she didn't like her androgyny. That was actually really helpful to disguise. Or to flirt. However he wasn't hunting her for a date, he was hunting the diamond, and he was ready for everything to obtain it. Even using an helicopter. With a smirk, Jack took his (smooth) hand and used his strength to get out the roof and escape, far away from town, watching the river, ready for the big reveal.
Wait what ?
WHAT ?
45 seconds ? 45 freaking seconds ?
And the police found her ?
This was going to be tricky. This was going to be fun. She wasn't really thinking everything through, not regret what she did either. And she didn't care that nobody could see the good inside her, and that this behavior could lead her in prison. Maybe she was crazy. But she had to try. She gave the empty diamond to the inspector and went up, at the top of the bridge, before throwing away (thanks her baseball skills) the bomb which exploded into the sky. Then, the officers caught her but, as always, she didn't care. She was even happy. Because maybe… maybe with what she just did… maybe they would see… that she wasn't the villain she appeared to be.
