The sound a tear falling is silencing. It's heart felt. Heart breaking. It can mean so many different things but there's only one that can grab someones attention so much if there were people around to hear you cry.

The paper wrinkled under the weight and moisture of the heavy tear that fell on it as Olivia looked down at the folded paper and envelope held tightly in her hands. The door to the apartment opened with a creek and closed with a small bang. Doctor Spencer Reid walked in the room and set his go bag on the floor, smiling when he saw the back of his girlfriend, sat hunched over in the chair.

"Olivia," He greeted but froze on the spot when he heard a sniffle. Her head lifted, yet, for a reason unbeknownst to him, remained to face away from him. "What's wrong?"

"What went wrong?" She whispered, her voice cracking as the tears just grew heavier and heavier. "I tried so hard for you. Please just tell me what went so, so wrong. Was I not enough? Did you want more? No, the real question, was I not good enough for you?" That's when she tured to face him. He looked in her tearfilled eyes.

They were devistated.

They were torn.

They were heartbroken.

They were defeated.

Spencer's eyes travelled down her blood stained arms and he saw what had ended everything. The letter folded in her hand. Spencer knew she would find out eventually. He just didn't think he would feel this. Such guilt. Such hurt. Such pain. Such regret. He thought he knew what he was doing. He thought he knew who he loved. But in truth, he didn't. He never knew. He was so blind. He never knew the person he would miss more.

He didn't think there was a wrong choice in this situation.

Maeve or Olivia

His affair or his girlfriend

His excitement or his love

He chose his thrill. Never did it cross his mind the answer could be wrong. And yet, for once in his life, here Spencer was. His logical mind proven so, so wrong. Fate had just deiceded to wait and show him the right road, the truth, when it would be the lowest of blows ever delivered. The feelings just pooled more and more as he watched with tears as the rivers fell from her own eyes and the blood run down her wrists, staining the then white paper red.

"Why?" She wailed. Spencer just shook his head as the tears began to stroll.

"I don't know." He answered. The damn burst as Olivia began to cry hearder as she shook her head, small screams falling from her lips.

"That's not good enough." She whispered between them before losing the feeling and dropped like a rock to the ground. Spencer ran to her, almost skidding on his own knees as he pulled his girlfriends head into his lap and held him close. His own tears mixing with hers as his hit her rosey cheeks as he looked down upon her with heavy emotinal eyes.

"Don't leave me. Please, Livy, please don't go..." He begged. She smiled weakly, her thin red lips pulling over her glistening white teeth.

"I'll never leave you, Spencer. I promised you I wouldn't. I'm letting you be free."

"I don't want to be free...not without you. I love you, Olivia."

"I love you too. I always will."

Spencer cried and closed his eyes. For Olivia's body had gone stone cold.
