They're so sad. Here's a sad drabble of them being sad.

Her hair is pink, as it always is, but it's a dull pink, a tired pink, a faded pink.
For she is melancholy and done with trying to change the mind of the man she stubbornly loves.
His eyes are brown, as they always are, but they are sad eyes, longing eyes, lost eyes.
For he has come to believe the lies he told to keep her safe.
"You can't love me. You can't be with me," he murmurs, "I'm a freak."
"Hey," she breathes, "I am, too."
And her hair fades to brown.
And he shuts his eyes.
And they wait for the lachrymosity to end.
