Nina sat in the decompression chamber, a thin stream of blood coming out from her nose. She felt like her blood was expanding from the inside, and she was certain that her body would not be able to contain it much longer. The pain was excruciating, she hadn't thought anything would be able to compare to the change, but this, this was so much worse. At least with the change she had known she would survive, even if she wished it were otherwise. Her skin was coming apart, she was slipping in her own blood and she fell in the curve of the wall. She had only wanted to find a cure for herself and George, for them to finally be together. And maybe, she thought, this was the only way, the only cure.

Ahem. Yes, well, there you go. I really don't think there's NEARLY enough Nina stories on this site, or any site for that matter. I've wanted to write this for a while, and now I finally have the time. This is what I think would have happened if Lucy hadn't been there to stop the experiment. What do you guys think? Worth continuing?
