AN~ Okay this is my 2nd fan fiction for Tangled! Yay! So hope you like it! Please review, review, review! But first: I do NOT own Tangled! I was thinking about doing a series of one-shots, but for now, on to Saving the Princess!

Chapter 1: Saving the Princess

Sitting in the stuffy library on a summer day, listening to her teacher's lecture was not what Rapunzel had in mind. She had imagined being at the Snuggly Duckling with Hookhand and the others and Eugene. Ah, Eugene. If only she could get out of this sleep-inducing class, would she race to Eugene and tell him all the things she had planned to do that day. But she was stuck here, and there was no knight in shinning armor here to rescue her.

She sighed inwardly and stared out the open window. A sudden movement caught her eye. Pascal she thought. The trusty chameleon clamored silently down the window sill and over to Rapunzel. His breathing was uneven, like he had just scampered a long distance. He held his camouflaged purple prehensile tail up to Rapunzel. A small piece of paper was wrapped with a string around it. Curiously, she undid the string, glancing back momentarily at the oblivious professor who was talking about something to do with manners. She realized it was a note.

It read:

Blondie,

How 'bout skipping your lessons and coming with me to the Snuggly Duckling to hang out with everyone. I'll be there in 2 minutes and play along!

~Eugene

Rapunzel smiled. Eugene was her knight in shinning armor after all! She thanked Pascal and stroked his back. In two minutes she was busting out of here! Waiting as patiently as one can when something exciting is about to happen, Rapunzel thought of all the things she would do when they arrived at the Snuggly Duckling. Dancing and singing and talking about all their recent adventures and dreams!

As if on cue, Eugene burst through the door, apparently panicked. "Sorry to interrupt sir, but Rapunzel's needed! She has another matter to attend to." Eugene winked at her, signaling for her to play along.

She nodded and exclaimed, "Oh! I completely forgot I had something else scheduled! Silly me! Thank you for the wonderful lesson!" She did a quick curtsy, picked up Pascal, and ran out the room. She giggled as they ran. "Thank you so much from saving me! You're my knight in shinning armor!"

And once again, Eugene had saved the Princess.

Love it? Hate it? Tell me in a review! I might continue this with a series of one-shots but I can't decide. Should I?
