On Saturday morning, I successfully completed the Wolf Whistle Quest in Taverly, guided by Pikkupstix. I first had to understand the trouble and stress Pik. was facing at the time. He informed me that his kin went missing and I needed to speak to Scalefix along the road near White Wolf Mountain to find out what happened. Stikklebrix was missing and Bowloftrix was captured by trolls and held hostage in the well! Scalefix could not go into the well alone and we were powerless without more help from a spirit creature. I then returned to Pik. with the information she provided and he equipped me with the knowledge and spirit blessings I needed to continue. I needed to find an embroidered pouch lost in his upstairs room (turns out I was better at locating embroidered pouches in a stranger's upstairs room than I originally thought!), then get white hare meat from the pet shop, and finally locate an ancient wolf bone amulet. Since the pet shop was right next door, my next step was easy. The pet shop owner told me something about selling the white hare meat, but since it wasn't important to my task at hand, I do not recall what that information was. I was told the amulet would be found somewhere on White Wolf Mountain. This turned out to be the most devastating part of my quest: when I was searching the mountain, the amulet was found on the remains of poor Stikklebrix, son (relative?) of Pik. I performed the unfortunate task of retrieving the amulet quickly. I then returned to Pik. with my three collected items. He sent me back to Scalefix, who was still waiting outside of the well, with the encouragement I needed to enter the well and defeat the trolls. I was able to conjure a wolpertinger, and with that creature's power, and my ability to stand back and watch, the trolls were destroyed by the aura of fear created within the well. They exclaimed some very interesting and grammatically incorrect quotes (trolls aren't very educated after all) as they dissipated into thin air. Bowloftrix was freed and I celebrated by taking a rest outside of the well; in fact I am still there, mustering enough strength to complete another quest one day…
