Ok, I know I am WAY WAY WAY crazy to start another one, because I already have four going, one of which I actually update, but I completely screwed up my other Harry Potter, and I had an inspiration-ish...so anyway, I hope you like it!
"…And then he broke my heart." Ms. Greenbaum finished telling her story to Leila Kingston. Both women had tears in their eyes at the bitter sweetness of it all. Leila was five years her younger, but she looked up to Ms. Greenbaum like she was only five. Ms. Greenbaum was the most accomplished witch in England still living, having written twenty three books and recovered seventy-three lost prophesies to date. And she had only graduated from Hogwarts seven years ago!
"That's so sad." Leila replied, "He never came back for you?"
"Never yet. He promised he would one day, but I'm still waiting on him." The two women finished their tea and Ms. Greenbaum bid Leila goodnight.
Ms. Greenbaum retired to her bedroom. She took off her silver work robes and hung them on the back of her door.
Ministry of Magic shone in golden letters on the back.
'Never thought I'd be working there' she said to herself, remembering her anti-ministry days. She smiled weakly to herself. She pulled on her tattered nightgown and combed her hair out before braiding it tightly. She brushed her teeth and sat down on the chair next to the only window in her little flat. She picked up her book and started to read; The Complete History of Selma the Great. Though she would have normally been engrossed by the story, she couldn't help but feel bored of it tonight.
She looked out her window, up at the moon. She wondered vaguely if he was looking out at that same moon somewhere else.
"I'm still waiting on you, Harry." Hermione whispered.
AN...Sorry it's so short, but the rest of them will be longer, promise! Any way, please R&R!
