Just a little something I thought up. It's late at night, so it's not the best thing I've ever written, but whatever. The song I had in mind while writing this was the intro for the Halo theme song.

Even after knowing and working with the man for almost two years, Tony still didn't know that much about Bruce Banner. He knew what kind of tea he liked (jasmine, strong, with a little bit of sugar), he knew he had the occasional nightmare about losing control over the Hulk, but other than that, he didn't know Bruce on a personal level. And it bothered him.

He went around to the other team members, asking if they knew much about him. Natasha said that when he's feeling restless, he wanders up to the roof. Clint shook his head, saying that he hadn't really been able to speak to the man about anything other than a mission. Thor said that the Hulk was a glorious fighter, and that Bruce was a kind man, but everybody knew that. And Steve said that he joined him on the balcony for a few peaceful moments, but that was really it.

None of that helped Tony. He wanted to know about Robert Bruce Banner, the rumpled scientist with anger issues and an affinity for tea. And he fully intended to get his way.

Tony was heading back down to the workshop when he heard it. An odd, deep humming that one would really only hear in a church. At first, he thought it was one of his machines that had broken? No, that wouldn't happen. Maybe Bruce was looking something up-? He went to investigate.

He peered inside the workshop, and spotted the wrinkled shirt of his fellow scientist. Bruce's back was to him, so Tony didn't have to duck back down. He murmured to Jarvis to open all audio between the workshop and the hallway, allowing him to hear what Bruce was doing.

It took him a few moments to realize that the humming wasn't coming from a computer, but from Bruce. His chest was nearly rumbling with the music, and his body swayed ever-so-slightly along with it. The chorale rose and fell like the ocean, with every note shocking Tony more than the last. He didn't think something like this could come from a miniscule man like Bruce.

As Bruce hit a high note, Tony was nearly paralyzed with the amount of emotion behind it. His head knocked softly against the wall in front of him, and all he could do was listen.

Once Bruce was finished, Tony was torn as to what to do; confront him about the song, or let it go? That choice was quickly taken away from him when the door opened. "Tony? How long have you been sitting there?" The scientist's voice asked.

"Long enough, Bruce," is his response. Bruce paled, beginning to stutter out an apology. "What the hell do you have to apologize for, Bruce? That was one of the- no, the most amazing thing I've ever heard." He cut in, not allowing the man to continue.

Bruce looked down, blushing at the complement. He didn't know what to say.

"I'll keep it quiet, don't worry. But it won't be long before the others find out." Tony murmurs, standing up and giving his friend a gentle pat on the shoulder.

The redhead smiled softly, filing away the new information she's discovered. A good singer. Interesting. Natasha turned, and headed back to the main floor where everyone else was situated for the afternoon.
