Chapter one ~ Old Reunions

Back to Hogwarts. . . another year of pointless classes, annoying mudbloods, and overloads of homework. . . another year with endless possibilities-happiness, joy, love-yet also hatred, jealousy, and deception. These last three emotions were of common embracement with a particular Draco Malfoy, who had now just appeared in the packed train station beside his formidable father, Lucius Malfoy.

"Now Draco," the harsh voice spoke. "Don't forget about that little 'chat' we had that previous day. Do not disappoint me." And with that, he left his 15-year-old son at the station with his various bags of luggage.

*God, does my father always have to be so formal? A simple 'Goodbye Son!' would do. But yet. he's my dad. and I have to put up with him. . . *sigh*. . .*

Draco, while walking through the secret entrance to Platform 9 ¾, saw two of his most despised enemies-a certain Harry Potter and his little sidekick, Ron Weasley. He looked them over from a distance, a sour look on his pale face.

*I don't even think they deserve to be wizards, those ungrateful little. . .*

Slowly, as though he were in no meticulous hurry, Draco confidently walked over to the two chattering boys. He gave the pair his infamous smirk, and started talking in a lazy drawl.

"Well, well, well. Look who it is-Potty and the Weasel. I'm surprised you two fools haven't gotten expelled yet."

"And why would we have been?" Harry snapped back.

"Oh please. That crackpot old fool Dumbledore gives you way too much lenience. If I were in control, I w-"

"Don't insult Dumbledore," Ron said through gritted teeth. "You dirty scum. . ." He was reaching for the wand in his front chest pocket.

As Draco was about to slip his thin fingers into his robe pocket to retrieve his wand, Lucius' voice flashed through his head. "Remember- do not disappoint me. " "Screw old dad," Draco thought, reaching in return for his wand.

Just as Draco and Ron were about to hex the heck out of each other, someone walked onto the platform. Ron's mouth hung open as he blankly stared at her.
