"Jess, I need to say something. Something that I have been waiting to say since the day we met. You are undoubtedly the best thing that could have possibly happened to me. My dad had just kicked me out, I was feeling like hell and at some point I was considering ending it because my life was just falling apart at the seams. That was when I found you. Or rather, Brady introduced you to me. I can never thank him enough for that. You are the sunshine on the cloudiest of days you were there for me on the days where it felt like the apocalypse. You are my angel and I know that I would not be who I am today without you, hell, I don't think i'd even be alive without you Jess. I want nothing more on this dark and despairing earth than to be with you for all eternity. With you, the darkness and despair turns to brightness and joy. Jessica Moore, will you marry me?" Sam passionately said his speech that he had been preparing for years.
He stared at the ring watching the light bounce of the delicately cut diamond. He watched as the light passed through a tear that fell from his face and onto the grass. He groaned as the silence stabbed him like a knife. He raised his bloodshot eyes to peer at his lost love's grave. He dug up a small patch of grass, put the ring in the box and buried it. Tears sprung mercilessly from his face.
"It's not fair Jess, I never got to ask you to marry me, I was going to ask you that night Jess. The night you died. You died and it's all my fault and now I will never get to spend the rest of my life with you. I am so sorry Jess, so sorry-" Sam's words were interrupted by an abrupt sob that broke through his cracked lips. He collapsed to the ground next to her grave and dissolved into tears.

Meanwhile in the Impala Dean was wondering what was taking his brother so long. Dean understood that Sam needed time to grieve but he couldn't help but worry as Sam had told him that he would take 20 minutes. It had been an hour.

Dean threw the door of his precious car open and stepped out slowly in anticipation of a serious chick flick moment but if it was for Sammy, Dean would do anything. He scanned the desolate graveyard until he heard the distinct sound of his brother's agonised cries and sprinted in the direction of the distressing sound.

In under a minute Dean had located his little brother and what he saw broke his heart. Sammy was on one knee in front of Jess' grave saying a speech that was obviously well prepared. He thought about going to Sam but he knew that he needed time to talk to Jess. After Sam finished his speech, he broke down into yet more tears. Dean was about to approach when Sammy spoke yet again but this time Dean heard each and every word,

"It's not fair Jess, I never got to ask you to marry me, I was going to ask you that night Jess. The night you died. You died and it's all my fault and now I will never get to spend the rest of my life with you. I am so sorry Jess, so sorry-"

A single tear slid down Dean's face as he heard the utter pain that Sammy was feeling through the false words he was saying. Sammy's pain caused him more pain that holy water caused a demon. Dean wiped away the single tear and looked back at his brother. He had curled into a shaking ball next to the grave. Dean decided that Sam was not allowed to be alone right now. Dean ran over to Sam's vulnerable form and pulled him into his arms. At first Sam panicked but when he realised that it was his big brother -his protector, he grabbed a fist full of Dean's leather jacket and sobbed.
"That's alright Sammy let it out, i'm here for you bro. I will always be here for you," Dean muttered into Sammy's brown locks "I'm here no matter what forever,"
