Prologue

Both officers escort me down the hall at a slow pace. I watch as the other prisoners keep their eyes on me as I go. Some are wishing me luck and others are cursing under their breath because they are still trapped in this hell hole.

As we make our way out of the hall with all the cells and prisoners, the officers let go of me. I crack my neck, trying to get the tension out of my body. I'm tired of staying in this cold and dark ass place. I've been in here for six years and it felt like home in the beginning but now I'm realizing how much I need to leave.

The officers escort me to the front desk to pick up my things that they confiscated from me when I was eighteen. I pick up the phone and toss it in the trash. Nobody that I used to know needs to know I'm out. Everyone that I knew is my past and will stay that way. When I look at the clothes, I chuckle. I've grown several inches in the past few years and my body is thicker with muscle. This shit won't fit me.

I hear a cough and see the woman at the front desk looking at me.

"Someone dropped off some clothes for you an hour ago." she turns around and walks to the back. When she comes back she's holding a freshly clean suit that's been pressed and ironed. It's still in the plastic from the dry cleaners. I reach over and grab it from her. She also hands me a box, shoes in it.

"Damn Grey. You going out to celebrate that you're finally out." an officer chuckles. I've always gotten along with the officers here.

"No, I've got some business to take care of of." I strip out of my green and white striped prison uniform right in front of them, causing the woman to blush. I pull on my slacks and slide my arms through the sleeves of my shirt before buttoning it up. I slip my belt on after tucking my shirt in and grab my tie, fixing it in place. I sit in one of the chairs and slide my socks and shoes on. Fuck it feels good to wear actual shoes and not sandals.

I stand up and wave towards the officers and woman, then pick up my suit jacket and walk out the door. When I step out into a bright waiting room I smile at the sight. Ros is in the corner with Gwen. These are the only ones who I can trust.

When Ros spots me she comes rushing over. She knows not to touch my chest or back, so she just squeezes my arms.

"I'm so happy that your ass is finally out. Now we can make some real progress."

"I've been helping you as much as I could Ros, is it not going well?" I ask. She shakes her head.

"It's going fine, but GEH can't keep going on without the boss. People want to schedule meetings with you to talk about the business face to face." I nod.

"Okay, that's understandable. How's the business going with the shipping yard in London?" she smirks.

"Because of how poorly it was falling, they came to a decision quick. We now have that shipping yard underneath us."

"Good."

We start to walk out. She grabs Gwen and shows me where the cars parked. When I see two black SUVs and two men waiting for us I look at Ros. She shrugs.

"I needed security because of the paparazzi and threats. Taylor," she points to the man with a dark buzzcut, "will be your security. People are trying to figure out who you are and if they do you will need him. I have more who will keep an eye out, and they've all signed NDAs."

"Okay, why don't you take me to my building." I say walking towards Taylor. Ros whispers something to Gwen and she goes to get in the other SUV. Ros walks over with me and Taylor opens the door for us.

As we make our way through Seattle, the prison is like a faraway dream that never happened. It's like I didn't even go especially looking at the situation now. I'm already rich, started the company I've always wanted, and it was all from my prison cell. That's the good thing about making trades in prison. You can get access to a cell phone if needed.

As we get to the heart of Seattle, I see a tall glass building. It's taller than any other building surrounding it. A small smile plays at the corner of my lips when I see Grey Enterprise Holdings on it. That's my name on this fucking building. No one else's.

Taylor stops at the front of the building to let us out. I take the first step on the pavement and take in a fresh breath. God this feels good. Ros steps out beside me and waves me in. A big man opens the front door for us, looking at me with caution. Yeah, I might not look like boss material to these people with the tattoos peaking out from under my collar and the frightening presence I show. I probably look like some criminal to them. Which I am.

I look around the building as we walk through. It looks fucking gorgeous in this place. The floors practically sparkle as I take each step. Very modern. It gives a serious look to the company. Showing that we're not joking around.

I feel someone behind me and notice that Taylor is back behind us. He reminds me of the officers back in prison. The man doesn't crack a smile though. I like that he takes his job very seriously.

As we walk towards the elevator some little prick runs into me. He just ends up bouncing off me and onto the floor. When he looks up he looks surprised. He takes in my appearance and stiffens.

"I'm sorry man, I didn't mean to bump into you." he quickly jumps to his feet. I dust off the wrinkles of my suit and stare him down. Ros puts her hand on my shoulder.

"Try not to knock the boss down anymore Trevor." she chuckles. The guys face pales a bit.

"He's the…" he takes another peek at me before looking at his watch. "Have to get some documents sent in before twelve. Nice meeting you Mr. Grey."

He quickly zooms past us, making Ros laugh. I honestly don't know what was so amusing about that. It just pissed me off.

"Come on, let's get you settled in your office." she keeps chuckling.

We hop in the elevator and ride all the way up to the twentieth floor. When we walk out I see two women sitting behind a desk. They have their heads down, working on the computer and taking calls.

Ros walks me over to them and introduces me. "These are your assistants, Andrea and Olivia." I look at Andrea and she gives me a small smile before getting back to work. Olivia just gawks at me. I roll my eyes.

After we are done with that she takes me to my office. When we enter it looks brand new and smells new. A few paintings are on the walls, a bookcase on the right. A couch and two chairs are sitting in the middle of the room. I even see a small bar against the wall. None of that grabs my attention though. What grabs my focus is the huge black mahogany desk. Behind it is my throne. The spot I've been getting ready to take over for years.

I walk over and take a seat behind the desk. When I look up I see Ros smirking. She knows that things are going to change now. The masters finally home and will be taking over now.

Coming soon...
