~PROLOGUE~
"I- I- I uh.. I- um.." I couldn't get the words out. We're there any words? No, there wasn't. I fell to my knees as his body hit the ground. "N- n- Please.. Plea-" I didn't know what to do. I didn't feel anything, not anger, guilt, nor was I sorrow.
"Thomas! Hurry up!" She yelled as she ran towards me. She didn't realize what had happened. For all she knew, he was still alive, killing titans.
I somehow managed to pick myself up. Exhausted for some odd reason, I breathed hard as I walked towards him. My walk turned into a jog, my jog turned into a run, next thing I knew I was propelling myself towards him. "Please! Please, anything but that!" I exclaimed as I towered over his body.
I fell to my knees once more, and I collapsed onto his torso, crying. "Thomas! What the hell is wrong with you?! Oh-" She had the wind knocked out of her, "Thomas- I'm- I'm- I'm so sorry."
"Can't- Can't we just bring him back up the wall with us?" I asked Wiping his blood from my face.
"Thomas, even if we did they wouldn't be able to do anything there. He would bleed out in a matter of minutes. Lets just go, c'mon!" She reached for my hand but was blocked by Blake pulling towards him.
"Blake!" I gasped. "Thomas, there's something I need to tell you guys. I can't die without telling you both. My main purpose was to watch after you guys without knowing that I was. I failed. Take this and go back to Wall Maria, and in our house go to the attic and the both of you will understand." He coughed, bringing up blood from his wounds. His right leg and a good portion of his torso was bitten off, only tendons remain of the missing leg. He grabbed my face and rubbed his thumb in circles on my cheek, "It was never intended that I loved you, but I did. Thank you. I love you."
Alex pulled me away from his now lifeless corpse on the cold ground. "Why?" I asked sobbing.
"Thomas." She sighed, "I don't know why, to be honest, but then again what else can I say?" It comforted me but it couldn't bring him back.
She pulled me to her grip as we propelled away. "Its going to be alright, I promise." She whispered into my ear.
