The battle of Hogwarts

[Authors note: I may make a whole story with this character (Sadie) I kind of like her "voice" sooooo stay tuned :) ]

I was running through the great hall. Around me were thick clouds of fear and panic. I ran faster and sprinted up to the gryffindor tower. There, in the middle of the room stood a blond - haired little girl. She was screaming and encouraging the others to battle. I looked around me and I saw that no one of the kids were older than 12. "Stop" I shouted. "You will all come with me!" I continued. "But we want to battle!" Answered the blond girl. "No you do not!" I said in a quite steady voice. "People will die tonight, people from your house that you love, children who's families will mourn them, people who could've had a life! Do you want to be one of those people? Do you want the children in this room to be those people?" I shouted at the girl, but she still didn't seem to give in. "But we should fight! For our school! Our home!" She was screaming back at me now. "Maybe this is your home but I know that to most of us, this isn't our only home! And I am not going to get extra blood spilled! The people out there are murderers! They won't hesitate to kill all of you!" The little girl looked at me. "So, if anyone of you want to live through the night, follow me." I turned my back and immediately a hoard of students were behind me. I looked at the blond - haired girl. She crossed her arms and I decided to leave her too her own choices, even though it hurt my heart a little bit.

I and my hoard of students were now headed to the hufflepuff common room. Suddenly I sighed in relief as I saw another slytherin student (my friend Gale) walking towards me with a bunch of hufflepuffs. "Sadie!" He shouted my name. "Get them to the cellars! There's a door there. Then you go to the whomping willow under it there's a way to get out!" I instructed him. "After that meet me in the great hall." He nodded his head at me and started power walking down the corridor. The gryffindors behind me were getting a little angsty, so before Gale and his company escaped I told the gryffindors to quickly join him.

I was now in the great hall again, waiting for Gale. Suddenly I saw him coming towards me. "The people out there are dying! Should we join them?" He looked at me, desperately. "Is every young student safe?" I asked him as I looked him straight in the eye. "Yes. Kylie and Becca are protecting them." He looked back at me. I nodded. Both Kylie and Becca were good fighters. I looked at the fight in front of me. "Let's go" I said and we ran out to the fight.

To my left I saw a deatheater. I shouted, and the most unforgivable curse flew out off my wand. It was almost painful, but I ignored the feelings and tried to focus on the next deatheater sprinting towards me. The fight went on and on, and my hate for the deatheaters around me grew stronger and stronger.

I killed more and more people and when the battle was over my heart, my soul, even my mind was in pieces. I tried to get a grip of reality as I walked to the great hall where they had left the bodies. Suddenly my heart stopped at the sight of a little body. In the right corner I spotted the little blond gryffindor. I ran to her and sat down on my knees as it hit me. I could've save her, but I didn't. I could've told her to join me, but I didn't. And now she's laying here, dead. I sighed, and for the first time this evening I could feel tears rolling down my cheeks. Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder. Gale looked down at me. He saw that I was crying and softly pulled me into a big hug. "You'll be okay" he whispered. I hugged him back and couldn't help but hold him tight as he comforted me.

I realised that evening that you can't always save everybody, even though you try.
