Somewhere, a bass drum was going off in the room.

Regina Mills forced her dark eyes open, realizing that the drumming was indeed only her head, a hangover having settled over the Mayor, making her mood even more pleasant. She fought to remember the previous night, wondering what the hell she had done.

Feeling warmth at her side, Regina's eyes fell to the arm drape across her stomach, remembering bits and pieces. She had another fight with Sheriff Swan, which resulted in her going to Granny's for a few drinks. Her eyes followed the length of the arm, resting on the sleeping beauty pressed rather close to her.

"Ruby…"

Ruby only snuggled closer, undisturbed by her name being called.

The Mayor immediately felt as if her personal space was being evaded. Sure, she loved to get close to people during sex but surely, they didn't stay the night and the most certainly did not cuddle with her.

Regina made an attempt to get up but the tight hold on her abdomen said otherwise.

"You're not going anywhere," Ruby opened one eye to look at her, instantly sending a chill down her spine.

"And, why is that?" Regina questioned, her voice coming out louder than she intended, making her head throb.

"Because, you're going to lay here and cuddle with me, Madame Mayor," Ruby purred, a smile playing at her lips, seeing Regina's face turn to a somewhat horrified one.

This wasn't the first time they had slept together. In fact, it was becoming sort of a routine that she was growing quite found of the waitress. However, they never cuddled. Regina would never let their escapes get that far. It was a mutual understanding that as soon as they both reached their release, they were done. Ruby would leave and Regina would just lay there after, feeling guilty for making her leave.

It was only recent that Ruby began to stay the night.

"I don't cuddle, Ruby," Regina once more tried to get up. "We've never cuddled."

Ruby smiled, "No time like the present, love," she whispered.

Regina's brow arched. "Did you just call me love?" she questioned, starting to realize they were getting too comfortable if Ruby was going to start calling her lovey-dovey names.

"I did. Now, will you just relax and cuddle with me?" Ruby buried her face in Regina's neck, pressing her lips to the soft skin.

Regina threw in the white flag and relaxed, letting her arms wrap around Ruby, drawing patterns in her lower back. A feel of safety and warmth overtook the Mayor and from that point on, she never argued about cuddling with Ruby again.
