Kain tipped back in his chair, allowing the chair to steady itself on it's back legs. He was barely paying any attention to the teacher but the information was still processing. Kain looked over at Rima whose head was down on the desk, her body shaking slightly.

'Hm.. Either she's cold or she's crying.' thought Kain setting his chair back on all four legs.

Kain got up from his chair and walked down to Rima. He grabbed her hand and dragged her from the room, down the hall into an empty hallway. Kain looked down at Rima who was staring at the floor, sniffling. Kain made Rima look at him, frowning when he saw tears streaking down her cheeks.

"Rima what's wrong?" said Kain, brushing Rima's hair away from her face.

"Nothing…" said Rima turning away from Kain, hiding her face in her hands.

"Rima.. Don't try to hide it. I've known you for a long time. You can't hide it from me." said Kain, moving Rima's hands away from her face.

"It's just that Shiki isn't here anymore and I don't have anyone to talk to." said Rima, trailing off slightly.

"Rima, there are other people you can talk to." said Kain pulling Rima into a hug.

"Like who? I have no friends here." said Rima.

"You can talk to any of us in the Night Class. You can also talk to Yuuki. Since you're a new student here all of us are here to help you with anything." said Kain, running his fingers through Rima's hair.

"I can't trust anyone here…" said Rima. "Where I came from you kept everything to yourself because anyone could be an enemy."

"That's not the case here. You can trust anyone… Well I wouldn't trust Zero… And no one in the Day Class, besides Zero and Yuuki, can know you're a vampire." said Kain, picking Rima up and walking over to one of the benches that lined the hallway.

"I can trust you?" asked Rima, looking up at Kain when he sat on the bench.

"Yes you can." said Kain, leaning back against the bench.

"Why do we have to use the blood tablets? Why not use blood from blood banks?" asked Rima snuggling against Kain.

"The chairmen wants to try to get us off of human blood so we can co-exist peacefully with humans." said Kain, glancing down at Rima when her hand curled in his shirt.

"Interesting.." said Rima.

"You feeling any better?" asked Kain.

"Yeah." said Rima, pressing a kiss to Kain's cheek. "Thanks."

"Rima… Not to be rude or anything but do you like me or something?" asked Kain.

"Why do you ask that?" said Rima, confused. "Because I kissed you on the cheek?"

"Here that means you like someone." said Kain. "But I'm guessing that means 'thanks'."

"Yeah. It does." said Rima. "In my country, to show someone you love them you kiss them on the lips. Like this."

Rima tugged Kain down to her level and pressed her lips to his, nipping softly at Kain's bottom lip before pulling away.

"You must really like me." said Kain, trailing off and smiling.

"You caught me." said Rima giggling.
