Missing You

Percy leaned over the ledge of the veranda. The stars were shining bright tonight. For once, there was no clouds in sight, obstructing the view. No smog filled the air. Percy could easily make out the constellations. Orion, the hunter, Zoë, the huntress, sharing the skies forevermore.

He accidentally let his mind wander, first to Zoë's death. Their short-lived adventure. Then, like a flash of lightning. He thought of him.

Can you feel me
When I think about you?

Luke. Luke Castellan, who caused the deaths of many innocent demigods, satyrs, nymphs and gods knows what else. He caused the death of Daedalus, Annabeth's ancient half sibling. He caused the death of Bianca di Angelo. He caused the death of Ethan Nakamura. And most everybody else.

With every breath I take
Every minute
No matter what I do
My world is an empty place
Like I've been wondering the desert
For a thousand days..

Percy remembered Luke. His face, his face was immortally etched into his mind. Of how he smiles, frowns and expressed all other emotions. As Percy looked out to his side, his heart skipped a beat.

Don't know if it's a mirage
But I always see your face, baby..

It was him. It was Luke. There was no mistake. The figure to his side was Luke Castellan. But as Percy reached out to touch it, it vanished into thin air.

I need you by my side
Don't know how I'll survive..
A day without you is like a year without rain..

Percy clutched his heart. It hurt. Remembering him, how he betrayed him and everybody else.

The stars are burning
I hear your voice in my mind..
Can't you hear me calling?
My heart is yearning
Like the ocean that's running dry..

His soft voice filled Percy's head. Of how he complimented him back then. On how his short, ragged breath sounded all those years ago in their first sword-training. His voice, which Percy can never take out of his mind.

Catch me I'm falling..
It's like the ground is crumbling underneath my feet..
Won't you save me?
There's gonna be a monsoon
When you get back to me
Oh baby..

Luke's image once again appeared. In front of Percy.

"Luke." Percy muttered as he reached out for him.

Nico woke up with a jolt. A flash of lightning rumbled in the skies. He had heard lightning and thunder before, but this one was different. His ears were ringing. Clutching his rain-proof jacket, Nico ran outside to examine the surroundings.

Other campers ran out of their cabins too, examining what could the loud thunder and lightning mean. Some were curious, afraid even, why there was suddenly a monsoon on Manhattan. It never happened there before, much less to Camp Half Blood.

But as Nico stood there, he heard a single voice say a single word.

"Luke." Percy's voice whispered to his ear, and Nico instantly understood.

Annabeth and Grover were surprised when they saw the King of Ghosts curled up outside his cabin, obviously crying heavily.

"He's gone. Annabeth. He's gone." Was all Nico said before he passed out of hysteria.

And the daughter of Athena immediately understood. Percy was gone. She didn't know why, or how, but all she knew was that he was supposed to be coming to camp tomorrow. He was with Paul and Sally in their apartment in New York, wasn't he?

But he was gone. Gone.. Gone.

Hope you enjoyed. Again, I disclaim that I own anything. I own nothing! Please review on your way out!

By the way, sorry if you don't like Selena Gomez, or the song. But, since I converted by friend into listening to her, I had to do this, just once. Unlike him who did it a bunch of times..
