As a child, Blaine had such poise and finesse. He walked around the house humming Backstreet Boys tunes and strutting down the hallways. He had read the dictionary from x through z because he thought he should do something to make himself more unique. "Blaine?" Cooper, his older brother yelled.
He sounded angry and the sound of his voice was nearing as he stormed to the kitchen. "What did you do with my guitar?"
"I put it in my room!" Blaine yelled back.
"Why on earth would you touch my guitar?"
"I don't know." Blaine lied. But by the time he said this, Cooper had reached Blaine. Blaine tried to ignore him and pulled the cookie jar closer to the edge of the counter but a hand was holding the jar back. "What did you do?" Cooper looked like a bully, yelling at a 5 year old child but he felt it was his duty to put his brother in line. "I wanted to make a video…" Blaine sighed. Cooper always thought Blaine seemed mature for his age. His mannerisms reminded him of someone much older. "You took my camera too?" This crossed the line. Cooper ran to Blaine's room. Blaine tried to run after Cooper but his little five year old legs couldn't get up as many stairs as Cooper - a fourteen year old- could. Cooper found his guitar on the floor and carefully inspected it for any scratches or damages of any kind. The guitar had belonged to his great grandfather and if there were any scratches on it, it was definitely not a crime he could pin on little Blaine, with the puppy dog eyes and pout - insisting that it was Cooper's fault. Finally, Blaine caught up, huffing and puffing as he waited for Cooper's verdict. "There aren't any scratches. Where's the camera?" Blaine pointed to the study. It was connected to the computer, he had been trying to upload his video to youtube. He was certainly a bit more clever than the average five year old but he still hadn't been able to do it on his own. "What's the video of, Blaine?"
"It's me singing."
"Can I watch it?" Cooper said, his voice softer.
"I guess so."
Cooper was in awe, apparently his baby brother was a child prodigy. "Blaine, that's amazing! We should put this on youtube. Maybe Ellen will see it!"
"That's what I was thinking of doing," Blaine said excitedly, his confidence building up now as Cooper didn't seem so angry anymore. "Do you want me to help you? Blaine, this is amazing, if you wanted to make a video, you should have just asked. Next time, okay?"
