Dick doesn't know how to apologize to her. He knows that Cass can tell how remorseful he is and how much he wants to make amends, but it doesn't feel like enough. However, while words can seem meaningless to others, they seem especially useless with her. Still, he wants to try, even if all he can manage is an inadequate, muttered apology, it would be better than nothing. Dick takes a deep breath and prepares himself. He knocks on her door, and waits, unsure of what exactly he intends to say or do, but knowing that he can't put this off any longer.

Cass answers immediately as if she was expecting him, and maybe she was. After all, Dick has been contemplating this for a while now. She stares at him for a long moment before allowing him into her room. The room is still just as impersonal as all of the guest rooms in the manor, but Dick knows that Cass and Tim have been discussing options to make it a bit more personal, so he ignores it. "I…um…wanted to apologize for…you know…everything."

Casey nods as though she anticipated this. "You were right not to trust me."

Dick's eyes widen as he shakes his head. "No, I wasn't. I mean, I had my reasons not to trust you after everything that had happened, but it wasn't as if I had any actual proof that you were going to…you know…" He trails off, unwilling to repeat all of his previous accusations.

"I had intended to kill Cain."

Dick sighs heavily. This isn't exactly how he intended for this conversation to go. "Yeah, but you didn't, and that's what matters."

She stares at him, long and hard for a moment, and then nods and smiles. "Thank you."

Dick grins brightly at her easy acceptance of his apology, and then he wraps her in a tight embrace. "So, what color does my little sister want her room painted? I'm thinking a nice dark green or midnight blue…or, you know, I'm sure we can find Nightwing blue somewhere."

Cass smirks as she leads him out of her room. "Rainbow."
