Hello all! I'm back yet with another rewrite of the series lol. I'm into those and there is so many ways to do them! I know it's a used thing, but hey it works lol. I'm currently updating the other two stories I have also. The demon in the gang is a rewrite, but Lost in Time its an original set in season 4. This one here is a rewrite also like I said lol.

So sit back and enjoy the ride as Angel Investigations moves to Sunnydale! Any mistakes are mine. Mainly because this came from me using my phone to upload this new story lol. Go galaxy s5!

Summary: After divine beings prevent Angel from turning back the clock, Angel is given a second chance to be happy with Buffy and still be able to fulfill his destiny. It will be a new Era of Angel Investigations.

Disclaimer: I don't own Buffy The Vampire Slayer or Angel.

"I'll never forget, I'll never forget, I'll never forget..." A woman sighed with the sadness as she looked on at the two warriors, the SLayer Buffy Summers and Vampire with a Soul Angel, wept from their lost chance of happiness. She stood and paused the image of the two embracing and stood up from the chair she sat in. She straightned out her suit jacket and black pencil skirt and walked over to a door in the room she was in.

"The Powers are pissing me off with this crap," she muttered. She had a special interest in the two warriors. Both of them were natural enemies, destined to battle each other. Yet they fell in love with each other without the help of the Cherubs. It was astonishing! The love they each had for each other was extremely rare. Only a few times in history did that happen, she recalled. Now they were being toyed with by those damn "Powers that Be."

"Puh... damn idiots aren't really in charge of anything except meddling in people's private affairs," the woman ranted to herself. She walked out of the room and began marching down a hallway, fury clearly showing in her bright green eyes.

ALong the way, she recalled the two timeliness that could happen. The new timeline was incredibly difficult and painful for both of the warriors. It was full of death and pain and seperation for everybody involved. The second timeline, the one that was about to be abandoned, was similiar but held the most promise. The two stuck together through thick and thin. There was pain and sadness, but it wasn't as bad as the other timeline. It infuriated her just thinking about the new timeline. And to think, that's what those fools were going with?! The gall of those bastards!

And the Oracles!? Why did they have to be so aloof and uncaring? Especially the male one? "Reminder to self, get new ones."

She reached a door and barged inside without knocking, startling its occupant. She saw the occupant leaned back in his chair and she made a beeling for his desk.

"How can I-"

"I'm pissed! I'm using my powers to reverse the decision the Powers that Be just did," she snarled out, cutting him off.

"O-kay?"

"Look Gabriel, those idiots have done it again!"

Gabriel looked confused. "Again what? An explanation would be helpful Angela."

"The slayer and her vampire."

A look of comprehension dawned on Gabriel's face. "Oh the two lovers." He placed a scroll down on his desk and leaned back into his chair."

Angela sighed deeply and sat on the corner of the desk. "First those idiots conveniently left in that stupid happiness clause when they allowed the gypsies to re-ensoul Angelus. Then they basically suggested to that idiot human friend of the slayer to kick Angel's ass instead of stalling for time. She did have help! You know how lucky we were to catch that break of William's temporary alliance with Buffy." Gabriel nodded in agreement. It truly was a lucky break.

"Next they manipulated events to cause the other Slayer to turn evil. She was never suppose to turn bad. Buffy and her friends were supposed to integrate Faith into their friends. Those two were suppose to be the dual guardians of the hellmouth! Especially with up coming events, but we let those slide because she has a second chance." Angela stood up and crossed her arms, anger evident in her body movements. "They royally botched everything up!"

She leaned slightly and looked into Gabriel's eyes, "They are making a new time line for those two. One that ignores everything set since Angel was turned mortal. They are planning to revert him into a vampire again. Then the shit will really hit the fan."

Gabriel's eyes widen in surprise, then narrowed in anger. "They what?"

He shot up out of his chair and exhaled slowly. He then walked over to a window in his office and looked out at the bustling peaceful city below. "Wasn't Whistler suppose to appear and explain the new situation?"

"Yes but it appeared that he never showed up. He was sent to deal with a situation that anyone else could've handled."

"Whistler!" Gabriel suddenly yelled out. He turned as the balance demon appeared, dressed in his usual tacky attire. He removed the hat when he saw who summoned him.

"You rang?" He asked nervously.

"Did you get a chance to explain to Angel what his new destiny is?" Angela immediately asked.

"Um not really. It was the damndest thing. I was about to go, but the Powers summoned me. They said I was needed to go and stop a situation. That it was urgent. So I went and stopped it, but damn, anyone could've stopped it! Even the Cherubs! Anyway, when I got back, I reported in, then was set to find Angel but they said not to worry. That it was handled," Whistler explain as he placed his hat back on his head.

Silence reigned after his explanation. Gabriel turned around and faced the balance demon. "Okay, it's settled. You work directly for Angela now. She'll be in charge of the Slayer and her lover. And anyone else she deems worthy. Angela will also be in charge of the visions to Angel's connection to us. You are to go back before Angel contacts the Oracles. Explain his new purpose and destiny. Explain that the Powers aren't messing with them anymore, it's all Angela's show now. Am I clear?"

Whistler nodded. "As crystal sir." He broke into a smile at his new 'promotion.' A chance to work with the upper management! To work with some of the most powerful beings in the cosmos. No more taking orders from middle management anymore! He was stirred out of his excited thoughts and saw Gabriel walking around his desk.

"Come Angela, let's go deal with these Powers." They both left with a sound of fluttering wings.

"Damn, a pissed off Archangel and Seraphim, not a pretty sight." Whistler smirked and left with a pop, he had good news to deliver.

Los Angeles

With a pop, Whistler appeared next to the location of Angel Investigations. He checked his watch and smiled, he was right on time. He took a moment to admire the rising of the morning sun and the dawn of a new destiny. One that'll be right and looked on by the right people. He turned when he heard the door open and smirked when he saw the man step out. He sure was pale, but that'll change overtime.

"Kinda early, don't you think?" Whistler said, surprising the former vampire.

"Whistler, what are you doing here?" Angel asked with a suprised tone.

"I'm here to stop you from making a dumbass mistake," Whistler responded. "Follow me, I need coffee and you need to get your slayer some food."

Angel was surprised to see the being who pulled from that alley all those years ago. Without thinking, he followed the balance demon to a small deli shop across the street. They walked in and Whistler approached the counter. "Two coffees and whatever my friend here wants."

Angel stepped up to the counter and ordered. "Just a bottle of Orange Juice to go."

The cashier smiled and rang up the order and took the money from Whistler. She gave his change and brought the order to the two men. Whistler smiled and walked back outside, Angel following him out. He took the Orange Juice and coffee and waited to see what Whistler would say.

"Strong coffee," Whistler said. "Okay now to business. Congrats on your new found mortality."

Angel just gave him a blank look.

"I see you took some bumps while fighting the Mohra," Whistler pointed out and drank a bit more of his coffee. "Explain now why you want to give this up?"

"I'm pretty sure you know what happened then? I'm basically useless like this. Buffy and I belong to the world fighting. I can't have her risking herself for me all the time I'm in trouble," Angel explained.

"Okay, reasonable points. But let me stop you there. This isn't just because you lost a fight last night right?" At Angel's glare, Whistler smirked and continued. "Okay then, I'm here to change your mind."

"How?"

"Look around you Angel. The world is a big place." Whistler extended his arms and made a full circle. "This is just a small part of the world. You never thought to how other battles are stopped? Remember, the slayer is just one person. Other people have found out about what goes bump in the night. You don't think they do something about it?"

Angel frowned and looked down. He sighed and looked back up. "That may be, but they don't fight in constant battles everyday."

"Sure they do. You, yourself, saw it before and still see it. Look at your friends, Doyle and Cordelia. Both are human, some of the time in Doyle's case, and yet they pitch in to help you. Now look at Buffy's friends. All are human, yet they all fight together. And they're kids! No kinda of enhanced abilities, yet they square off against the beasties of the night. You have a second chance here man, who else can really say that?"

A thoughtful look crossed Angel's face. Whistler had a point. Everyone he knew where humans and they fought side by side with Buffy. Yet one fight against one demon and he's thinking of turning back into a vampire. But still, Buffy would always protect him this most. Regardless of anyone else, if he was in trouble, she would risk everything to save him. "Still doesn't change that by staying like this, I can't help Buffy."

Whistler sighed loudly. "Excuses! Nothing but excuses. You can train yourself. You know you can. You can become an invaluable asset to her. You have the knowledge already, you just have to know your limits."

"What about Wolfram and Hart? They pose a threat," Angel pointed out.

"What about them? That will be handled but someone else, not you," Whistler quickly explained. His new bosses surely had a plan for those yolkes. "Look the point of my visit here is this, what the Mohra said rings true. 'Together you are strong, alone you will fall.' He was referring to you two. You two are meant to fight together, to be together. It's not a coincidence that a vampire and a slayer fell for each other. You two are each others halfs. She's your light to your darkness. You're her light to her darkness. So why be alone and miserable, when you two can be happy together?"

Whistler threw away his empty coffee cup and walked over to Angel. "Your destiny lies with her. That atonement you want, your redemption? It lies in Sunnydale. You two are no longer play things of the Powers that Be."

"What do you mean?" Angel asked with a surprised tone.

"Well my bosses found some stuff out and made changes. You two are in good hands. And I'd rather not have a pissed off Archangel behind me," Whistler said with a smirk as Angel looked shocked at hearing who is in charge now. "The vision that Doyle had was meant for both you and Buffy. So now, Doyle is our contact to you. Which means that the visions won't be as harsh as before."

Whistler smirked as he saw Angel begin to really take his words in.

"Yep, so go back and be happy with Buffy. You two will need each other, because there will be tough times. Always remember that you two are strong together." Whistler took Angel's empty coffee cup and threw it to the trash also and smiled at the sudden lightness dancing in Angel's eyes. He could see the ex vampire finally accepting his new happiness.

Angel could feel a burden lift away from him. He was worried about his sudden purposeless life, but hearing this? Hearing that he was meant to fight alongside his slayer, it imbued him with a new purpose. A new cause. A new destiny. He looked up to thank Whistler, but was surprised to see the balance demon gone. He smiled and turned to see his apartment building that held the woman he loves. Angel walked across the street and entered the building. He had some OJ to deliver.

Farway, Angela smiled as she saw Buffy waiting for Angel and smiling when he hugged and kissed her. She joyfully took the bottle of OJ from Angel and began listening to Angel's new plans. "Get ready Sunnydale, Angel Investigations is coming," Angela said with a smile.

Inside the apartment, Whistler listened to Angel explain away to Buffy and smiles to himself. "Be happy you two." He took one last look and silently laughed as Buffy led Angel back into the bedroom by his shirt. "That's my cue," He said and disappeared with a pop.
