I have another for you guys!

I don't own Death Note

Tick Tock; Tick Tock;

A sigh, a smile, and a silent laugh. A young man sat in an empty apartment building. Blood staining his hands. But, oh no, not to worry, it was not his blood nor was it his apartment.

Tick Tock; Tick Tock;

The place wasn't from his victims either. Not Now. Not Today. Not ever. Three was enough for one trip. He pondered for a moment, whether it was worth it to kill the detective as well. It wasn't. The numbers above her head were still high. He didn't have enough time.

Tick Tock; Tick Tock;

The young man pulled the container of gasoline out of his bag. Unscrewing the cap and pouring it onto his pure white skin. It burned. He didn't care. A little pain was worth it. He had to win.

Tick Tock; Tick Tock;

He took a moment to remember. Remember the one who'd caused it all. It wasn't difficult. He'd never forget as long as he existed. That man had been the one to destroy them. Children, one by one, breaking, hurting, dying. All without showing his face or uttering a single breathless word.

Tick Tock; Tick Tock;

The red-eyed man pulled out a match and struck. Once, twice. 'Drat,' he thought to himself. 'It seems the thing won't light.' Striking once more, it burst into a tiny orb of bright flames. Sighing, he lifted his hand above his head and closed his eyes. Images clear in his mind. And released…

Tick Tock; Tick Tock;

BURN!

Screaming, and then a voice from above. No, not a shinigami nor a cruel god, but what seemed to be the laughter of a young child. A small boy. Hair dark and grin wide.

"Well Beyond, it seems your time has run out after all."

While this doesn't exactly follow the end of the book, I still found it quite interesting. I am not fully sure on who the child is, but I think I'll incorporate him into something eventually. I really like writing from BB-kun's view on L! ^_^
