Teddy Lupin is four years old and living with his godfather Harry. As Harry is tucking him to bed with Ginny at his side, Teddy asks the general child-like questions, but leads onto questions about his parents, etc.

'Harry?' Teddy lay on his bed, Harry tucking him in.

"Yes, Teddy?" Harry looks at the young boy, and smiles.

"What was my daddy like?"

"Your daddy was courageous, brave man."

"Why did he die?"

Harry frowned, touching his scar briefly. "He died fighting a bad wizard."

"Why?"

"Why was he fighting him? Because your daddy believed in lightness rather than darkness."

"And why?"

"Because, your daddy was a good man."

"And, mummy? What happened to mummy?"

"She also died, along with your daddy." Harry frowned. Thinking of his old DADA teacher and his wife, Tonks, brought back strong memories, tears prickled his eyes.

"Fighting the bad wizard?"

"Yes," Harry nodded. "Teddy, I think it's time for you to sleep."

Teddy nodded, his eyes closing. "Nighty. Night Harry" the child smiled in his sleep and murmured "love you."

Harry smiled. Whispering "love you too" as he backed out the bedroom, shutting the door behind him.
