Prologue
The young girl stood near the bow of the ship, watching her passanger carefully. Looking at her, you'd never know she was the ship captain, or a pirate, for that matter. Shining purple and vivid red hair, and a temper to match, but she usually stayed calm and collected. Anyone who crossed her would have to deal with the well known temper of Raikou, the Thunder demon, or so she was called.
Her passanger, on the other hand, was still a mystery. Why, he had paid for passage on a pirate ship, yet, had stayed hooded and cloaked the entire time, laying against the mast, not lifting a finger to help the crew!
Sensing her look, the passanger stood up and walked over to her. "Is there something you'd like to say to me?" he asked in a quiet, somewhat happy, but with a hint of sorrow, voice. "Well, you could help the crew swab the deck, or help the cooks," she said, "or, at least, make yourself usefull."
"I could tell a story, of days long past, of a mighty warrior. I will take many days to tell." "Really, now. Well, it could boost the crew up somewhat." "Very, well, I'll start tonight," he said as he removed his hood, revealing medium-long, brown hair with streaks of silver, and hazel eyes experience in them belaying that of his 21-or- so-ish face. "I just have one question, miss. You remind me of a young girl from my hometown." "That's a statement, not a question. And, my mother's name is Nez."
The man's eyes widened. "Nezzy? Who's your father?" "Take, why? How do you know my mother?" "Takeshi, too? My, my, this story will be interesting to you then." "How so?" "You'll see"
"That night, the crew sat around the fire on a nearby island as the man stood up. "I shall start by saying my name is Drake, and this is the story of the mighty warrior of the silver dragon, of love found and lost, of betreyal and redemption, of family and hearts, and of one boy who did everything in his power to save his world from war… "
