It was a dark room I could taste the damp with every shaking breath I took. My arms were tied together and to the back of the chair I was sat on. My ankles tied to the front legs. My back was to the door, I knew this because some light had found its way through the cracks in between the door and its frame. My ears picked up the sound of footsteps getting closer and closer, the stopped right outside the door. A jangling of keys and the scraping of metal on metal as the key was fitted into the lock. The door swung open and artificial light spilled in. I winced, my eyes not accustomed to the harsh light. Three quick steps and they stopped again.
I could feel the heat radiating off their body in this cold room, their breathing slow and steady compared to my harsh gasps. I heard a shot-gun being loaded then I felt it press into the back of my head. I swallowed hard and closed my eyes; so this it I thought... This is how I die.
