Just something I came up with when I was blowing up balloons for my birthday!! Which was yesterday!!!

Balloons

Gwen smiled as she waltzed around doing her chores for Morgana. It was her birthday and the sun was shining down on her! She ferried laundry about with a spring in her step. And when she got home, she planned to cook up a feast for her and her father. But there was one thing that niggled in the back of her mind. Morgana was getting more secretive and was spending more time with Arthur. She denied it when Gwen hinted but she couldn't miss the looks that they gave each other. Even Merlin was doing it now. She'd walk into a room and five minutes later, it would be empty because all three of them would have made their excuses and left.

"Oh, I need to see the dressmaker," said Morgana, even though she already had about 53 various types and fashions.

"I umm... need to see Father about economy," said Arthur, but he seemed to forget his father was taking an afternoon nap, and didn't like to be disturbed.

"I need to do Arthur's washing," said Merlin.

"It's right there," she said, pointing to the clean heap of clothes his arms.

"Not this washing, other washing," he explained as he left.

Gwen just shook her head. They really needed better excuses.

Morgana looked around the corner. There was Gwen, dutifully doing her job, even on her birthday. She hurried across the courtyard to the steps and climbed them gracefully. She walked quickly past the council chamber and the kitchens until she arrived at the other entrance to Arthur's room. This one was smaller and had an antechamber. The door was ajar by a centimetre and strange sounds were coming out of it. Morgana didn't dare push it open as she put her ear near the crack.

"Ha! Mine's longer than yours!" said Arthur.

"Well mine's....fatter!" countered Merlin.

"Just hurry up and blow!"

" I'm sorry Mr Suckish Prat, I'll just choke from no air shall I?"

"What did you call me?"

"Suckish prat."

"This is all for the good of Guinevere...this is all for the good of Guinevere."

"You didn't say that last time! You liked it!"

Without seeing him, Morgana could just tell that Arthur pouted.

"I'm not doing anything then!"

"Fine I'll just do yours as well."

"Can you blow your own please?"

"Fine satisfy yourself!"

"I will."

There was a smack, like clothes hitting the ground and a sucking noise.

What are they doing in there? I don't even want to know! It sounds so wrong!

Morgana marched in with her eyes covered.

"I don't want to know what you're doing but please can you get on with Gwen's surprise party?"

"We are!" said Merlin.

Morgana slowly uncovered her eyes. Merlin and Arthur were sitting in a pile of balloons and Arthur's washing had fallen down.

"So you weren't?"

"We weren't what?" said Arthur.

"You weren't?" Morgana meshed her fingers together.

They turned their synchronized heads left.

"Forget it."

Morgana walked out.

Merlin and Arthur exchanged glances.

Gwen came in to Morgana's room to deliver her washing. The room was dark. Gwen strode over to the curtains and pulled one open.

"Happy Birthday Gwen!"

"-ivere," finished Arthur.

Gwen stood there, shocked.

"That's why you didn't speak to me?" she said to Morgana, Arthur and Merlin.

"Sorry Gwen," apologized Morgana.

Gwen just hugged them all and refused to let go for a very long time.

Ah, she loved her friends.

My first fic with a hint of slash and this marks my 30th story yay! Must do a crossover next...
