A/N: Uwah, I can't update as freely as I would normally. Not sure how this came out.
Fire Emblem doesn't belong to me.
Wrong.
It was all wrong.
Lyn sniffed again, not bothering to wipe the tears from her eyes. Eliwood and Hector were there too, the former was by her side while the latter was staring somewhere else. There were others too, but Lyn didn't pay much attention to them.
Mark was dying.
His robe was completely covered in tears, some arrows were sticking in his body, his left eye had a wound inflicted right over it, and a cross-shaped cut was across his chest. Blood spilled on the ground underneath him at an alarming rate, forming a puddle of crimson. Even so, Lyn held him in her arms.
He was staring right at her, holding an indifferent expression. He opened his mouth to say something, but all that came was a cough, and eventually blood. Hector shook his head before leaving. It wasn't clear whether it was out of disgust or he just didn't want to be there anymore.
"Hah..." His breathing became ragged, and she knew, every movement brought him pain. "...You're too kind...honestly..."
Another sob. Lyn felt even more tears fall from her face. "You shouldn't be crying...for someone like me..."
It was wrong.
"I...used you all..." Mark smirked. "Used you all as if you were pawns on board..."
Mark was dying.
"For myself...out of my own selfish...goals..."
And it was because they killed him.
"Someone like me...deserves a death...like...th...i...s."
It was wrong.
It was wrong!
