Hellooo! This is my first story I'm uploading. I normally don't ship cross-over couples, but after watching a few random Youtube vids, Armione has me hooked! I hope you enjoy this. xD

"Merlin, you fool. Shut up!" Arthur snapped. "It's bad enough you've spent all evening in the tavern - and don't lie to me - Gaius told me, but there's someone there. Crying. So once more, shut up!" Merlin sighed in defeat. There was no point arguing with Arthur as he was in one of his moods. Then again, finding Arthur in a foul disposition wasn't exactly a rare thing nowadays. Ever since he had stumbled upon Lance and Gwen on a midnight stroll in the Rose Garden, arms (and lips) twine - he heard it too. Racking sobs from somewhere in the distance. The kind that he had come to known far too often now Morgana had began unleashing her armies upon unsuspecting villages, no doubt a plot to unsettle Arthur and Camalot.
Arthur jerked the reins of his horse, in the general direction of the crying noise. He could make out a faint cry for someone named- Don? Ron? Bam! It was like a shock to his heart. He stopped the horse dead in his tracks, ignoring Merlin's cry of indignation. They were at that . His and – the mere thought of G-her still sent stabs of pain to his shattered heart. He looked around, seeing ghosts. Gwen and someone who looked like him, except the stranger looked happy, smiling. In love , with his heart intact. He saw himself kissing Gwen for the first time, telling Gwen he loved her with all his heart, him proposing to Gwen, each vision painful and tourtourous.
It had been a year, a year since he had banished them, a year since his whole world had come crashing down around his feet. He had recieved a letter last week. From them, saying that... That... That Gwen had given birth to a child. That they were happy. That they wanted him to be happy too. But how could he be happy, when he had a hole where his heart should be? When he felt like he was drowning in his sorrow, his tears? When he was in a nightmare that never ended, being chased and screaming, until he was dead? But he was already dead insinde. Everybody else seemed to have moved on, except for him. He seemed to be stuck in somewhere between a nightmare, and reality. Deep down, he was still wishing to wake up, and find it was just a bad dream, with Gwen besides him.
Then he saw the girl.
