A/N: In the manga/anime, Yuzu is portrayed as the only person in the family that can't see ghosts besides her father (who later on can), and I wanted to portray Isshin's fatherly side. R&R! :D

Disclaimer: I do not own.

The day when Yuzu would grow up was coming.

Isshin knew this yet, he could not help but feel his paternal instinct urge him to stop it. He knew that it was his own mistakes as a father that would bring her into another world that she would most likely not ever appreciate. A girl like Yuzu deserved to live a long, full, happy life in the World of the Living. She should be able to grow old into her late 90s, sporting a crown of white hair, a smile on her face.

But Isshin knew that the danger was only approaching, and what he and Karin felt was only the scent of the danger to come. It had not even touched the outskirts of their homely town.

The danger had yet to pass.

And the thing was, Yuzu, the girl who could not even see ghosts or feel their presence, had felt the dark, eerie presence of danger lurking not too far out of her perpetual senses…

Which could only mean that when it hit, it would be earth-shattering.

And poor Yuzu might not make it though.

And it was all due to her father's making.
