Summary: Spoilers for DH. Twenty years later, Harry did not expect to meet a familiar face.

Twenty Years

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. JKR is the amazing authoress who does.

Harry couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the familiar face of Dudley Dursley stare at his own with an awkward smile, holding out a hand.

"Harry Potter," he greeted with a nod.

Speechless, all he could was shake his head and nod.

"D-Dudley?" he asked as if he was dreaming.

After all, it wasn't everyday that you walk along a street and you happen to be spotted by your cousin whom you haven't seen in twenty years.

Twenty years, twenty long years.

In that space of time, he and Ginny had had two boys and a girl. All in Hogwarts by now, being taught by the very best teachers.

But right now, all he could do was stare shell-shocked at his cousin.

"Harry – would you mind if I called you that? – want to go out for some coffee?"

Harry nodded, recovering from the shock. "Sure, where to?"

It was as if they were old pals, who knew each other for quite a long time and the twenty year space was never there.

Dudley only shrugged, "I'm only visiting here," was his explanation.

Harry smiled. "Right, there should be one…" he turned left, "to our left."

Dudley only gave Harry an incredulous stare. "You never cease to amaze me."

As they sat in the Muggle café, sipping the warm coffee in the middle of the winter holidays, Harry finally realized why he couldn't recognize his own cousin.

Dudley had long changed from the pampered, fat boy who used to whimper and hide behind his parents. His face had gain the maturity in which Harry had never seen before and his cheeks had flatten along with his waist. Harry's eyes found a ring on Dudley's left finger.

"Married?" A sip.

"Yep, you too?" Dudley asked, obviously noticing Harry's own ring.

Harry peered at it fondly. "Yep, any kids?"

Dudley took another sip, looking a bit touchy. "One girl, about ten now. Guessing you have kids?"

"Three. Two boys, one girl," Harry answered.

It was quite odd. Here they were, sitting in the café. A Muggle and a half-blood, both cousins, sipping coffee and just talking about their life. Cousins who haven't seen each other in twenty years and they had never been fond of the other.

A silence fell upon them, only to be broken by one whispered word.

"How?"

Harry looked up surprised to see Dudley looking close to tears, staring at the swirling black caffeine.

"Sorry?"

He looked up. "You survived. You defeated him, didn't you?" Dudley asked.

Harry smiled. "I did…" and looked away. There were so many deaths in the process though… Fred… Lupin… Tonks…

Dudley looked down again. "That's great news…"

There was another silence. Only the sound of the waitresses bustling around to hand trays of hot drinks to the customers echoed in the café.

"Well… I have to get going, my wife…" Harry muttered, getting up to slide his coat on.

"Wait."

Harry froze and stared at Dudley, curiously. "What is it?"

"Will you help me?"

Harry slowly slid into his seat. "What is it? Help you with what?"

"My daughter… I think she's…from, no… she's a witch," Dudley's whisper was no more than a murmur.

Harry let his shoulders relax. "That's not a problem…" he reached into his pocket and pulled out his wand, "here," he looked around to make sure no one was looking and quickly wrote his house address with the wand on a piece of napkin.

"That way, if you ever run into trouble, just come over," Harry replied.

Dudley looked frightened.

"Don't worry, he's gone.

"Gone for good."

-end-

Note: A bit rushed. But I had to get it out. Wouldn't it rather cracky to have a HarryxDudleyxDraco OT3? Ha. That would be funny.

Anyways, I've finished DH as you can see. And this is – I guess – my first complete Harry Potter fanfic. Hope you've enjoyed it. ((might be revised though. xD))
