CRIES BC AN ICHAKI MOMENT WILL HAPPEN IN EPISODE 11 AND THEN WE WAIT MONTHS FOR NEW EPISODES SOBS SOBS

A soft breeze ruffled the tops of the trees as the sky was being painted in deep reds and popping oranges. Two students at Yezo High were walking back to the dorms after their club activities. Hachiken had stayed back, caught up in some trouble with the pizza oven.

Mikage jogged to catch up to him. She tapped Ichiro's shoulder, flashing a smile and a greeting. He grunted in response.

Their steps fell into a steady pace with each other as they walked in a comfortable silence. He had his sports bag slung over one shoulder and baseball cap grasped in his other hand. She had her slender fingers interlaced behind her as she walked.

They were halfway to the dorms when she noticed he was walking with a limp.

"Ichiro, what's wrong with your leg?"
"Huh? Oh, it's nothing."
"Don't give me that! You're limping, let's get you to the nurse's to get ice or something."

Her fingers wrapped around his wrist, and he didn't try to resist her touch.

Ichiro's leg was propped up on Mikage's lap as she dabbed antiseptic on a cut on his knee. There was an ugly bruise colouring his muscled calf and gashes over his shin. He said that he'd gotten careless and fallen.

She clucked like a mother hen and scolded him. He only scoffed and glared, mumbling about how it was nothing.

He'd never tell anyone, but he secretly savoured the attention he was getting from her. Usually she'd only talk to Hachiken.

"There! I'm done."

She taped on the last bandage on to the cut on his knee. He scoffed again and crossed his arms. She threw him an exasperated smile and bent over his leg, placing a chaste kiss on his knee.

His eyes widened at the sudden kiss.

"All better now, right Ichiro?"

He shot up like a rocket, angrily yanking down his pants leg and blushing furiously, sputtering incoherently.

"Wh-wh-what was th-that fo-or?"
"Oh come on, I kissed you on the cheek all the time when we were kids!"
"That's way different!"

She giggled, making the tall boy blush all the more. Grabbing the baseball cap he had left on the table, she yanked it onto his head playfully and curled her perfect lips into a smile.

"Let's go, now. We don't want to miss our shower time."

He shrugged his bag onto his shoulder and followed her out the door, cheeks still flaming as bright as the red evening sky.
