Author's Note: SPOILERS!!! Okay, now that that's out of the way. I hated that Severus died but I like the introduction of Harry's kids. I'm probably going to do a lot of post Deathly Hallows one shots like this. (I think Rose is the name of Ron and Hermione's girl)

"Albus Severus Potter!" shrilled McGonagall.

The young boy sat on the stool catching his older brother's eye just before the hat fell over his eyes.

"Ah, another Potter I see. Tricky, trick, not nearly as straight forward as the rest of the children I've seen today. You will do best in Slytherin, but you seem to fear being placed there?" muttered the hat for Albus' ears alone.

'My brother says I can't be in Slytherin,' thought Albus.

"Are you sure this is what you wish? Your father regretted not taking my advice," muttered the hat referring to Harry's request to have his houses switched in second year.

'Would I do best in Slytherin?' asked Albus.

"Yes," was the hat's simple reply.

'I guess I'll go where I'll do the best,' conceited Albus while biting his lip.

"A brave addition to," muttered the hat in Albus' ear, then loud enough for everyone in the Great Hall to hear, "SLYTHERIN!"

The hat was pulled of his head and Albus looked out at the shocked faces of the Great Hall and, for a split second, he thought they were all going to boo and jeer at him, then a his brother, all the way over at the Gryffindor table started the slow clap. It mounted and everyone was applauding. The last to stop clapping was, to Albus' relief James, who ended his applause with the flourish a loud whistle.

"Hi," said Albus nervously as he sat down next to a blond boy at his new table, "I'm Albus."

"Scorpio," answered the boy and they shook hands.

There attention was drawn back to the front of the hall.

"Rose Weasley!"

The girl climbed the stage and the sorting hat fell over her head.

"Slytherin!" shouted the hat and the girl totted over to Albus and Scorpio.

The sorting finished and the food appeared. Everyone ate happily. Albus, Scorpio, and Rose talked amongst themselves. The teachers who had witnessed the rivalry between Harry, Ron, and Draco marveled at the friendship forming before there eyes.

None had been as amazed by the entire scene as the lone ghost floating in the back of the great hall. He had been just passing through the great hall when he saw the sorting had started and heard the name Albus flowed by his own. For a split second he wondered who on earth had remembered him fondly enough to give his name to one of there children. Then the last name came and found himself rooted to the spot. He had to know the future of the boy now. The boy sat fidgeting under the enormous hat for an extremely long time before the hat had declared him Slytherin to further the ghost astonishment. Severus Snape resolved to keep a watchful eye on the newest addition to the house he still felt he belonged to. As he floated out of the Great Hall he glimpsed Scorpio and Albus' introduction.
