N/A: Hey, this is just a little thing that probably has been written before, but I was watching Sorcerer's Stone today, and I couldn't resist. This is basically what happened after Professor McGonagall took Harry away when he flew up to get Neville's remembrall back from Malfoy (in the first book: Harry Potter and theSorcerer's, or Philosopher's, Stone), but it's from Ron's perspective. It's Ron/Hermione all the way. But remember that this is still at the point where Harry, Ron, and Hermione are not friends. Hope you enjoy!

"That's enough, Mr. Weasley. Potter, follow me, now." Professor McGonagall took Harry away; I was really worried. Harry couldn't get expelled; he was Harry Potter for crying out loud! Not only that, he was my best friend. This was not good.

Everyone dispersed among themselves and started discussing what had just happened after that. I saw Malfoy and those stupid cronies of his, Crabbe and Goyle. Malfoy was making a very bad impression of Harry being taken away by Professor McGonagall. At that point I got really fed up.

"Malfoy, don't you have anything better to do than to make jokes about Harry?" Malfoy turned to me with a smug smile on his face and replied:

"No, not really." Crabbe and Goyle laughed at that. I was about to say something back, but at that moment that preppy girl, Hermione Granger, came up to where we were all standing.

"Come off it Malfoy, Harry was just trying to help out Neville." I couldn't believe my ears, smart-aleck Hermione was actually agreeing with me, and, dare I say it, maybe even sticking up for me?

"Oh, how predictable, the muggle-born, teacher's pet Granger is helping out her dear friend blood traitor, hand-me-down Weasley." Malfoy sneered in our direction and then started to stalk off. That got me really ticked off.

"Ok, that's it, enough is enough." I started after Malfoy, I was going to punch him in the nose, but Granger pulled me back.

"No, it's not worth it," she said. I tried to shove her off, but she was stronger than she looked. She had a hold on my robes, and when I turned to her she didn't let go.

"Uh, Hermione…" I said. She immediately let go. We stood there for a moment and then she seemed to collect herself and told me:

"Well, I didn't think you could take down Crabbe and Goyle anyways."

"What?! Are you saying I'm not strong enough to take on those two gits?"

"Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying."

"Aw, come on, you're a girl. You couldn't take on anyone at all."

"That is so sexist, aren't I the one who just held you back from going after Malfoy?" I had nothing to say to that; it was true. We were very close to each other, and she was looking at me intensely. It was like her eyes and mine had a string attached and I couldn't break away. Finally I broke the spell (if you'll pardon the pun) and looked away. I didn't know what else to do so I just ended up just walking away from her.

I went to go and talk to Seamus and Dean and some other people, but at one point I turned around to see Hermione reading a book, and when she felt her eyes on me she looked up and gave me that same intense expression, it was a mixture of dislike and satisfaction.

I looked away but there was still something I didn't understand. Why, for days afterward, couldn't I get that look out of my head?

N/A: Sorry, I know it was just a short little fluffy drabble, but I HAD to write it. If you didn't like it, or if you've done something like it before, please don't hate me. But I hope you DID like it, and please review and let me know if you did. Thanks so much for reading!
