I awoke in something soft. It was a bed. The game was over, I'm sure of it. That's a relief. I grinned which must have looked pretty weird because I still looked like I was sleeping. Wait, what happened to the others? Are they okay? I hope so. I opened my eyes and sat myself up. I saw my parents who seemed to be happy that I was awake; we gained eye contact but said nothing. I was a bit worried about my friends though, so I doubt we could hold a decent conversation now. Besides, they would know I'm different just because I'll be showing that I care about others. I broke the silence.
"Was there…any other missing children found recently?" My parents looked at me inquisitively. I never watched the news, but my parents sometimes did. I doubt they did this time because of me, but it was worth a try right?
"Is there anyone in particular you're looking for?" My mom said. My parents' eyes were full of hope; hope that I was a different person. I felt guilty thinking my parents must have been really worried about how I was acting.
"Yes, I-" I started but was interrupted by a nurse walking into the room.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I think I might have what you're looking for," the nurse said. "Can you give me names please?"
"Yes, Daisukenojo Bito, Rhyme Bito, and Shiki Misaki," I said seriously, my parents' eyes widened. Beat would be mad if he heard that. But I doubt the hospital would have him under his nickname.
"I heard that Phones!" We heard in the distance. I grinned widely. Beat then slammed the door open and crossed his arms, looking annoyed but not at all threatening. Probably because he was trying to hide that he was happy to see me. If it was just me, he might not have hid it.
"How dare you use my real name yo!" Beat said in an annoyed tone. "What's that?" he said looking at the papers in the nurse's hand.
"He was just looking for you and others in the medical records, to see if you were checked in with us," the nurse said. Beat put his hand behind his head, realizing his mistake.
"Uhh, sorry Phones," Beat apologized.
"It's fine, and Rhyme?" I said carefully.
"She's a-okay yo," Beat grinned.
"Just look up Shiki please," I said calmly. The nurse looked through the papers.
"Shiki Misaki is fine," the nurse said. "She's in room 205 if you wanted to see her."
"Ok, thank you," I grinned. The nurse left the room and closed the door. My parents were now grinning widely too. I got myself out of the bed; my headphones were on the nightstand.
"C'mon Beat; let's go," I said.
"Where we going?" Beat questioned.
"…"
"Oh, I get it, ok then Phones," Beat said.
