"You're pathetic," she said sitting next to him spiced rum in hand.

"You're just as bad" he said barely looking up.

Alice rolled her eyes, "So why did you come?"

"I got an invitation." Frank Longbottom replied.

"Didn't mean you had to come. I honestly didn't expect you to."

"Maybe I wanted to shock people. You know by going to the only girl I ever loved marrying one of my closest friends." He spat taking another swig of the nearly empty glass.

"You sound bitter"

"Yes, What about you any bitterness?"

"Tons of bitterness. You know for me."

"She asked me to marry her. In 5th year"

"He, jinxed all the Slytherins hair pink for me in 4th year"

"She cast a bat boogey curse on Lucius Malfoy for me ."

"He cheated on me with Lily twice."

"She told me she loved James in her sleep."

"As much fun this is little Bill Weasley asked me to dance with him." Alice said walking off to find to the young ginger child.

"What's that your 8th drink?" Alice asked walking up to the bar, to Frank.

"Somewhere near it. So did hurt?" he asked.

"When I fell from heaven?" she spat, "Where do you learn your pick up lines, Snivelous ?"

"No, seeing Lily and James together" he whispered.

The anger gone from her voice she sighed "All the time."

"Then why are you here?" he questioned.

"Maid of Honor mean anything to you?"

"I think it means you need another drink"

"Can't, If I get drunk my speech will contain way to much dirty language, there are children here you know." she said grinning.

"You're right, I'd hate to here little Nymphodora calling anyone a cheating hell hag." She sighed quietly at the memory of her confronting Lily.

"I don't want to be another bitter bridesmaid." she whispered.

"Always a bridesmaid never a bride," he quoted.

"Yeah, you know I'm surprised Lily hasn't come over to talk to you yet."

"She's scared," he said.

"Aren't we all?" she questioned, "How's your mum?" She said grinning at the thought of the uptight women,

"Bloody brilliant, She put another layer of plastic on the couch" he replied.

"Again with the bitterness"

"You know what we should make out to make Lily and James jealous," he said rolling his eyes.

"Somehow I don't think that would work out to well," she laughed.

"Whatever"

"Well I'm gonna go make my speech"

"Have fun with that," he grumbled.

Alice went up to the center of the room , "When I was 12 I decided to plan Lily's wedding. Though the years many things have changed in the plan: the cake, the dresses, the boy , one thing hasn't. She'd be in love. And I'll be damned if she isn't. So here's to Lily and James who wouldn't let anyone get in their way to have the life they dreamed of." She went back to talk to Frank.

"That last line sounded a little bitter to me" Frank said laughing.

She just glared at him.

"Life sucks Merlin's left ball sack" she said.

"How long do you think they're gonna last?" he asked.

And as everyone stood there congratulating the happy couple Alice and Frank were betting on when they'd (Lily and James) get divorced.

Note from Author! I stole this idea from One Tree Hill Fanfiction Always a Bridesmaid but I thought it would be interesting to change the pairing and add some Harry Potter spice to it!
