Rosy-Ella's POV:
I pulled the daisy out of the ground and marveled at it's beauty. Flowers never grew in our backyard. This daisy was beautiful and tall, and it stood up straight when it was in the ground. I instantly felt bad that I pulled this one out of its home. I tried to put it back in the ground but when I did, it drooped back over. I frowned trying to think of how to fix it.
"ROSY WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?"
My eyes grew wide and I grabbed my daisy quickly and shoved it in my pocket. If dad found this, he would just squash it, and I wanted to keep it. I was just about to stand up when I get yanked up by my hair.
"Damn girl, get inside I never told you to come out here." my father muttered furiously pushing me along. I cried silently but did not dare make a noise, that just made him angrier, and he is already angry enough. He pushed me onto the couch and stomped into the kitchen. I peeked in my pocket to check on my daisy and it wasn't dead. I sighed in relief and soon I fell to the gross carpet with a thud.
"Get the hell outta here stupid." my dad muttered and I quickly got up and tried to scramble to my room. He tripped me before I could leave and laughed as I hit the beer-stained carpet again. "Stupid! That's what you get you evil little brat."
"I'm sorry daddy." I cried staying on the ground. "I'm sorry...I-I-"
"SORRY DOESN'T CHANGE ANYTHING!" he roared kicking me into the wall. I cried harder and lay crumpled on the floor. "YOU DESERVE THIS!"
I continued sobbing because it was true. All so true. I deserved everything he did to me. He threw his empty beer bottle at the wall making it explode. I crawled out of the way just in time so the exploding glass barely missed me. I continued sobbing afraid to try to leave. I didn't want him to hurt me anymore, even though I really did deserve it. Just because I deserved all of this, didn't mean I liked it.
"Get outta my sight you little bitch." he exclaimed going back into the kitchen for another beer. I hurried up to my room hoping it wasn't another trick.
I grabbed my blanket and hid under it with my flashlight. I turned on the light and grabbed my daisy out of my pocket, only to find it dead. I sobbed even harder. I set the daisy in my lap and glared at it.
"Why does everything around me die?" I whispered turning the daisy over and over in my hand.
