I don't know how and why, but I always kept on wondering on this stupid thought, such as like;
Is there something hidden under the sea?
My aunt used to read fairy tales to my twin sister, helping her to fall asleep while I just frowned, being forced to listen to such nonsense stories. Stories like little girls in red clothes talking to strangers when she wasn't supposed to. Young maidens on giving up their freedom for saving their fathers's ass and ending up being lock up in a enchanted castle with a monster as a friend, or girls saving guys from drowning, and so on .
Seriously, I thought fairy tales were just made for kids who did not want to face reality. Nothing better than a good book to get yourself lost in it and just to forget about everything at all.
However, things are different now.
I was working on a case about catching some three or four guys who were exploting young pre-teen girls into prostution. So, one day, my partner and I were chasing them from behind with my car, but there was something that completely slipped out from my mind.
The leader had everything planned, the chasing, the drugs, cops like us being suspicious and that precious bomb, that was hanging under the bridge, ready to explode by any minute. The last thing I remembered was myself trying to get out from my car, holding my breath, when everything blew out. Thinking I was going to die, but I didn't.
I survived.
I remembered waking up on a hospital bed, not remembering who I was or how, the hell, did I even escaped death's doors.
I should have had died during duty, but something or someone rescued me, from falling deep down into the sea's darkness.
However, that's my side of the story and even after three years, people still think that I'm crazy enough to make up such story like me; being pulled out from the sea by someone 'pelicuar'.
Whatever, even after three years, since 'the blow up' I still wonder about the person who rescued me.
Author; So what do you think? Should I give it a shot? Share me your thoughts, cause I'm having ideas about writing an modern version of The Little Mermaid with some supsense and with some romance. See Ya!
P.S. Hans Christian Anderson owns the fairy tale.
