Glass jars
She was waving.
Oh she's here again.
He had woken up peacefully, taken a shower peacefully, and now was going to get dressed peacefully. Or at least he was , until he saw her from his bedroom window. Apparently she had seen him too, he guessed, from the huge blush that seemed to poof on her face.
He sighed. Now he can't pretend to not be home. He grabbed his clothes and walked away from the window without sparring her a second glance.
She shifted slightly, standing on the sidewalk outside his house, trying to get another glance of him but soon gave up knowing he wouldn't come back. She shifted again, glancing back and forth from the door to the window.
Should I?
It should be okay…
She thought uncertainly. Then she shook her head.
No! It's perfectly normal for a girlfriend to visit her boyfriend!
Set off resolved, she went for the door,
He knew she was coming before he actually saw her. He knew she was going to come to the door before she herself finished fretting over it. He knew that even after the third time she knocked that he was going to finish off his toast before he even felt slightly bothered to get out of his seat. He was just happy that his parents were still out or they would have been let her in. Or so he thought, cause as more time passed on her knocking became more and more frequent.
She must be worried.
Sighing he stood up, leaving bread crumbs and a half drunk glass of orange juice.
On the other side of the door she began pounding wildly.
Something must be wrong!
She thought, cause after all she just saw him a few minutes ago.
Something terrible must've happened!
She stopped for a second, pulling out her cell phone, not hesitating to call the police. Then the door opened, her first reaction was to be relieve, then she saw his annoyed face.
"S-sorry." She said meekly.
He calmed his expression, then seeing her cell phone asked.
"Did you call them, again?" Ending off a little bitter.
"N-no, sorry."She repeated herself, her head down.
He nodded a bit. Seeing a pause in conversation he decided to ask the obvious.
"What are you doing here?"
At those words her head snaps up.
"Oh, um… " She shyly pushes her hair back, looking away. A small smile on her lips.
"I was just walking around and I happened to come near your house… so I thought I'd visit." She shifted where she stood.
He didn't believe such an obvious lie. Taking a sweeping glance at her, seeing her outfit and what he knew what must have been painstakingly put on make-up, he seriously doubted it.
There was another lull in conversation.
"Uh-um, sorry, did I interrupt you?" She was extremely nervous.
Shaking his head, "No, I had just woke up."
"Eh, it's already the afternoon." She laughed a bit. "You should try waking up earlier." She finished off meekly.
She didn't want to come off rude but she didn't know what else to say. He just made a humming sound in the back of his throat as if agreeing with her.
Now that he thought about it, it was a bit chilly. Standing in his doorway he saw her shaking a bit but made no move to invite her in.
I need to end this. He thought, Cause there's no way I can keep doing this every weekend.
"Why are you here?" He asks again.
She looked surprise. "Eh-I… " Seeing he was serious she became shy again.
"I-I, I just wanted to see you." She spoke quietly.
"Stop it." Her eyes widened. "You're annoying."
"I-I'm sorr-"
"No, don't come back and don't talk to me at school." He paused for a second.
She was stunned where she stood, to shocked to speak. Reaching forward, grabbing her chin, he pressed his lips to hers. They wwere cold.
"Bye."
The doors closed and she broke down crying.
He ignored it all.
