One night, just like any other night, Donna Noble goes to bed, after an extensive amount of TV watching. After settling in, she closes her eyes and immediately starts to dream.

"Donna. I'm sorry...I'm so sorry." There is a man. A man she has dreamed about every night...every night, since that weird occasion where her parents let her fall asleep in her clothing. The same man, in fact, she saw leaving her house the morning that had occurred.

This time the dream is different, though. It's like her mind is trying to drag the memory of this man out of her somehow. Then, something clicks, and there he is, apologizing again "...I'm so sorry."

Donna wakes up with a start, and she remembers everything. Every single thing she's ever done with the Doctor, rushing at a million miles an hour, back into her mind. She starts to cry. That's when the physical pain begins to start, and she puts her hands to her temples. The burning...it burns so badly, she cries out.

"Nooooooooooo...!" The Doctor wakes up to a cold sweat. He is in the library, lying down on the couch, a book cradled on his lap.

The TARDIS begins to hum to him reassurances that this could never happen, and he prays to God it never does.

End.
