The bitter taste of blood was an all too familiar sensation in his mouth, though, he couldn't really feel much right now, though he could feel a warm hand entangled with his. Grora… Wodahs looked to his left to see the angel lying next to him, holding onto his hand for dear life. They both knew his chances of living were slim, though somehow Wodahs felt at peace. Yes at first there was agony, white hot blistering agony spreading through the puncture wound in his chest, but now he was unfeeling… physically at least.

"Why?" Grora sniffled, "w-w-why would you save me…" Wodahs looked up meeting her gaze affectionately.

"I couldn't just let you die now could I?" He smiled slightly, Grora sniffled a bit more trying to pull herself together.

"You idiot," She mumbled, her gray eye piercing him angrily, "YOU IDIOT!" Wodahs chuckled, a small broken noise accompanied by a small unwelcome stream of blood. Grora glared menacingly at the Head Angel. "DAMNIT WODAHS YOU CAN'T JUST GO IN AND INTERFERE LIKE THAT! I HAD IT UNDER CONTROL…" Grora seethed, punching the ground hatefully. "A-a-and now you're dying," She cried hysterically, "I can't do one damn thing about it either, can I?" Wodahs wouldn't meet her gaze, choosing instead to situate his one eye on the clouds above.

There was a pregnant pause, "The sky is beautiful today…" Wodahs murmured, he gave Grora's hand a small squeeze. He started blinking slowly, and he shakily brought his hand up to Grora's face "love you," he mouthed, stroking his thumb over her cheekbone.

"Don't even try it head angel," Grora whispered, "don't you dare even try it. DO YOU KNOW HOW EFFING LONG I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO SAY THAT, AND THEN YOU JUST GO AND DIE ON ME!" Grora yelled, punching at Wodahs's chest, "so don't you even dare die on me, or I will bring you back to life and kill you myself!" Wodahs, mouth twitched slightly, the corners of his mouth turning upwards.

"A-a-always t-the feisty one a-a-ren't you G-grora?" He chuckled breathlessly.

"Got that right," She laughed right along, stopping as she remembered the severity of the situation "what's taking Eti so long, she should be here by now." Another sluggish blink was her response, she twisted the ring on her finger anxiously. "Wodahs, you couldn't leave us could you?" she asked softly, lifting his hand to lay it on her stomach, Wodahs's eye widened. "I was going to tell you sooner," She choked out, "but with the war and all… I never really got around to it… and now…" She gestured down at him, "this."

"G-rora…" Wodahs started, his breath catching in mid sentence, "y-you'll m-make a wonderful mother." She smiled brokenly, running her fingers through his hair.

"And you'll make a good dad…" She sobbed, looking down to see that he was no longer breathing. His blood stained her clothes, his blood stained her memory, his blood stained her as a whole.

Short but sweet, sorry the word count was 500 and even I the GhostGirl could not ruin that! I'm evil... but who would ruin the even word count?!
