Feeding Time
Myfanwy swooped down and squawked with delight as Ianto tossed her a bar of dark chocolate.
"There you go, girl. Enjoy."
He moved towards the stairs, making his way down to the cells three floors below, to feed their resident Weevil, Janet. He made sure that she was at the back of the cell, before he opened it, threw in her meat and closed it again. He stood back and began to sing softly to her.
In his office, Jack was watching the CCTV footage of the cells on his monitor and he smiled as the Welshman's voice echoed through the small space around the cells.
Job done, Ianto made his way back up to the main area and started coffee and ordered lunch for the 'humans' in the Hub. Ten minutes later, he took a tray filled with steaming coffee to the boardroom and awaited the order he'd made over the phone, to arrive.
Going up to the Tourist Office, Ianto opened the door and let Paul in.
"Got your order, Ianto." The young man smiled at the Welshman.
"Thanks, Paul."
"No worries. I like coming to the Bay."
Ianto paid him and then let him out before going back down to the boardroom. His colleagues were already there. All, but Jack.
Placing the food on the table, he went back into the main Hub and looked up at the office.
"Sir? The food has arrived."
Jack walked to his office door. "Be right there, Ianto."
"Sir."
Mmm, that word made his spine tingle.
They'd been lovers for the passed four months but Ianto still insisted on calling him 'sir' when he was around the other members of the team.
"It's good manners," he told Jack. "You are my boss after all."
Jack shook his head fondly.
"Besides," Ianto added, "I haven't earned the right to call you by your first name yet."
"Not true," Jack had told him.
Ianto had just shrugged.
Moving out of his office, Jack descended the stairs and joined the younger man by the kitchen. They kissed.
"I wish you'd call me Jack."
Ianto bowed his head. "Jack."
It was music to the older man's ears. "Thank you."
Going to the boardroom, Ianto found the other members of the team digging into the pizzas.
Jack sat down and eyed the younger man as he sat beside him, then they tucked into lunch.
THE END
