A one shot fic that I wrote about the Chuunin exams, while the team is in Death Forest or whatever you call it. Didn't take me long.

Kinda shows that I'm far behind episode wise. :'( Grrr.. Someone give me episode 34! I feel like I've been stuck on 33 for ages. –sigh- I shall run away in anger. BTw I wrote this in less then fifteen minutes, don't flame me about the horribleness of it. All right? Good. Now R/R nice things! :D Luv ya's!

Sasuke wove his way in between the trees, his feet ricocheting off the ground, barely making contact.

He had heard a scream. A scream that he had recognized. It was Sakura... he was sure of it. He had only left her for a moment to go search for Naruto but it was more then enough time for an enemy to attack her.

His eyes narrowed out of anger. Who dared to attack a lone girl? Sakura wasn't nearly as strong as Naruto, and up against Sasuke she looked like a rag doll that could do nothing. Sasuke wiped the back of his hand across his mouth in annoyance. He wasn't going to make it in time... he didn't even know what had happened to her.

'What if....' His eyes widened. 'What if Orochimaru had returned? What if....'

"SAKURA!??!?!" His eyes were wide now and he felt the trees whip by him even faster as he picked up speed. Leafs zipped by, the wind and air flew by in gusts. He was trembling with anger... or something near it. He felt as if he'd explode if anything happened to Sakura. He slowed down a bit. 'Why was that?'

He barely knew her, and she had been a huge hindrance as well of an annoyance through most of their missions, but she had protected him and Naruto when they were both out cold.

The results of her actions were that she had no more long, flowing pink hair (something she had been very proud of), and she was less helpless then before. She had risked her life to try and stop those thugs of Orochimaru. Sasuke was proud to have her on his team... and.... He shut his eyes as he remembered.

'He was going to kill one of Orochimaru's men, he had felt power beyond power surge through him, but Sakura had stopped him, somehow....' He remembered feeling her arms around his body, her voice crying out for him to stop... to not hurt anyone else. He felt guilt wash over him. All those times she had told him that she had liked him, Sasuke had only laughed at her in the crudest ways. He didn't even know how he felt about what she said; it just seemed too familiar to care about. All the girls back at school thought he was the best, and they were all after him in some way or another -believe him it got annoying- but Sakura was different.

That day she seemed to have changed. And from that day he felt as if there was a connection that was blossomed between them. A very unusual connection.... Something Sasuke wasn't at all familiar with. 'Could it be he was feeling...' No! That was a weakness for a Ninja, feelings of any sort could be a obstacle, a very deadly sort.

He shook his head clear of thoughts. 'I have to stop thinking like this if I want to reach Sakura in time...' But he couldn't help but think... maybe... there was a slim possibility that it wasn't as bad as he thought, this thing, this emotion everyone called... love.

Aww... Sasuke and his thoughts on Sakura. Or so I envision them. They'd look adorable together. –whacks Ino over the head- You can go get yourself a life now. Sasuke is Sakura's Bwahahhahahah! –coughs- Newayz, later dayz!
