Disclaimer: I do not own Vincent or any characters from the series. I wish I could own Vincent but sadly I do not.
Caution: If there are any Catherine fans out there I do apologies but in this fanfic there will be a different character taking her place. I do love Catherine don't get me wrong. I just wanted to try a Vincent OC. Please no flames!
Introduction:
The rain was coming down hard over the city of New York. Everyone ran for cover or remaind inside. No one was outside, all except for a young child who ran through central park.
Unbeknownst to her, she was being watched, by a pair of gentle caring eyes.
She ran and ran till her legs gave out, and she fell to the ground in front of a large tree. She curled herself up into a ball and cried and cried.
Her face, still bared the markes of what her father had done. Even though he could not see, he knew that she had injures else where.
The rain seemed to come down harder as her tears continued to fall, mixing with the rain. Making it seem as though the rain drops were her tears. The boy watched her, his heart seemed to break at the very sight of her crying.
He hated to see her cry.
He hated seeing her in pain.
For he felt her pain.
He felt her sorrow.
He felt everything that she felt.
The light from a lamp post hit his face, exposing what was not hidden by his hood. His gentle expression was now saddened upon his lion like face. His long blond hair now soaking wet clung to him.
His eyes,
A gentle blue, now filled with tears that now threatened to fall.
Finally he could take it no more and removed himself from his hidding place. Making his way over to the girl.
She heard the sounds of footsteps and looked up only to meet thoes familiar compassionat eyes.
"Do not cry sweet Angel."
He whispered as he craddled her cheek in his hand. His claw like nails gently combing through her long auburn hair. She flung herself into his arms, holding onto his large frame for dear life. Even though they were the same age, he was a great deal larger than her.
With a sigh of happiness he enveloped his strong arms around her, holding her as close to him as possible. Allowing her to weep, only this time, she would not be alone.
"Vincent,"
The boy looked up to see a man, wearing a cloak similar to his, "Father?"
The man smiled softly, but sadly at the sight of the two children. "Lets bring her home."
She knew that when Father mentioned home, he ment the underground, a place where she felt safe. Safe, and away from the horrors that would await her back at her house.
Vincent picked her up in his arms, and carried her the whole way. His heartbeat sang in her ear, gently lulling her off to sleep as he continued to carry her.
"You are safe now, he will never harm you again. I promise."
It was this promise that Vincent swore that he would never, ever break.
