"Don't hold back dammit!" I heard my own voice shout the command. It sounded only mildly strange to me, but my teammates were obviously unsettled by it. They knew something was wrong.
I looked away from them and back at my own opponent. He was big, way bigger than I am, and he was strong. I believe that these rogue ninja were possibly one of the strongest enemies I have fought since becoming a Jonin.
"I guess I'm stuck fighting you then," he said menacingly to me. I hardened my gaze then, trying to look more like a ninja, more like him.
"I suppose you are," my words were like ice, even colder than my father's. He chuckled a bit and got into an offensive stance.
"I'm going to kill you, Girlie." I prepared to perform gentle fist, ignoring his words.
"So that's how it's going to be. Alright then," he laughed and put up his fist, "Taijutsu is enough to get rid of YOU!"
He yelled the last word and raced toward me, black hair billowing in the wind. I smirked, preparing myself for the blow that would mean the end of him. Closer. Closer. Closer. From the way he was running, it seemed like he had to cross the forest to get to me.
"Byakugan!" My open palm raced up and hit his chest hard. The muscled ninja looked at me, his eyes wide, and I watched his blood pour out of his mouth. He fell to the ground silently. Then it was over.
"What a waste," I commented to his teammates as they all paused to see him die.
"Yahh!"
Another ninja fell to the ground, her skull shattered.
"Thanks for distracting them for me, Hinata!" Sakura gave her typical grin and turned back to the fight.
I sat on a fallen log, staring at the rogue's corpse. I sighed. Killing…would it ever end? I hated this. And yet…
"Die!" Kiba was yelling now.
I have to be strong. If they see me waver, we are all doomed.
The third ninja sank to his knees, death in his eyes. You know, it's amazing what you can accomplish when you loose someone.
"Hinata, watch out!" Kiba screamed at me and pointed over my head. I looked up just in time to see the fourth ninja. How sad it is. Only one strike can kill a man. How fragile we are! Just one blow to the right chakra point and it's all over.
"Byakugan!"
And I weep for the fallen.
