This story takes place right after Naomi and Ayumi return home. This is based entirely off the anime.

The first thing Satoshi Mochida was that he had no hands. Most of his arm had been cut off, ending in a bloody stump with bone jutting out. Blood seeped from the opening, staining his school uniform bright scarlet. It's metallic smell filled the air, causing him to gag and bite his tongue. Blood flowed freely from the bite, getting into his throat and making him choke on the liquid. He coughed and crimson flew from his mouth, dripping down his chin and throat, staining his collar. It hurt, it hurt, it hurt.

He fell to the floor and hit his head hard, with no way to break his fall. His neck was twisted at an awkward angle, so he had a clear view of Heavenly Host Elementary.

It was disappearing. Brilliant white light engulfed the school, causing classrooms to disintegrate into shining particles. Satoshi smiled weakly. Naomi and Ayumi had done it. They had brought peace to all of the poor souls trapped here.

Naomi. He tried to say it, but dried blood coated his lips, trapping the name inside. It felt bitter and leaden in his mouth. He had really loved her, and was glad he could save her. He felt tears form in his eyes, clouding his vision. Satoshi blinked them back hurriedly. Even now, he wasn't one to cry.

"Oniichan?" asked an uncertain voice from above him. His heart skipped a beat. Was this a hallucination?

He rolled over onto his back, so he had a clear view of the person standing above him.

"Yuka?" he rasped out , prompting another bout of coughing. Yuka smiled down at him. She was made of the same beautiful light the school was disappearing in.

"Oniichan!" She cried, dropping to her knees. She hugged him around the stomach and pulled him into a sitting position.

"Where are Naomi and Ayumi?" He tried to ask, but his words were hardly distinguishable. Yuka seemed to understand anyway.

"Shinozaki-san and Nakashima-san are home, oniichan. Why did you give Nakashima-san your scrap of paper?" She said, tears welling up in her eyes. Satoshi gave her a weak smile.

He couldn't speak, but he tried to communicate everything he had to say in that smile. Because I wanted her to go home. Because I didn't want to leave here without you. Because we have so many more adventures to go on together, don't we?

The pain left his body and Satoshi felt strangely weightless. Yuka only sobbed harder.

"You're dead too now, oniichan. Why couldn't you have lived?" She choked out. Satoshi realized he was made of the same light as the disappearing plane, around them. Holding out a hand in wonder, he saw his arms were back and he could move again. He pulled Yuka into a hug.

"I'm scared." she mumbled into his shoulder. Satoshi realized his mouth was clear of the choking blood and he could speak again.

"What's there to be scared about? This is just another adventure. Together, we're indestructible." He consoled her, rubbing circles on her back with his hand. She looked up and gave him a watery smile.

And the two siblings held on to each other as they disappeared in a flash of blinding, beautiful light. Just like the hell they'd endured.
