Tony had been with tons of girls before he had even met Steve. He had heard many speeches from preachy fathers but only one stuck, the one Pepper's dad had given him. Of course he and Pepper were just friends, especially after he and Steve had gotten together.

When Peter had entered their lives Tony was immature and stupid but as he and Peter aged Tony realized it wasn't all about him anymore. He and Steve got married and Peter grew up and was now seventeen. And bringing home his first boyfriend.

Tony had heard quite a bit about this boyfriend, Wade, and he was freaking out. Wade reminded Tony way too much of what Tony had been like. Looking for one thing and one thing only. Tony insisted he meet Wade before he and Peter went on their first real date.

Tony heard a knock and he answered the door as Peter was still upstairs with Steve. He saw the same cocky grin that he usually wore on the face of the blonde-haired, blue-eyed pretty boy in front of him.

"Wade?" Tony asked.

"Yep that's me," Wade answered.

"Wade, Peter's not ready yet so why don't you and I have a little talk?" Tony asked ushering Wade into the lab.

"Come on in boy, sit on down and tell me 'bout yourself," Tony said picking up one of the Ironman gauntlets and using Pepper's father's speech. "So you like my son do you now? Yeah we think he's something else. He's his daddy's boy, his father's world. He deserves respect, that's what he'll get, ain't it son?" Tony asked looking up at Wade. He nodded looking nervously around for Peter.

"Wade?" Tony heard his son call.

"In here babe!" Wade called eyeing Tony. Peter walked in his hair perfectly tousled, his glasses on instead of his contacts, and wearing his favorite t-shirt and hoodie. Peter hugged Wade and pecked his cheek, grinning.

"Now Peter-" Tony started but Peter put his hand up.

"I've already been read the riot act by Pops, Dad," Peter said slipping his hand into Wade's.

"Now ya'll go out and have a little fun. I'll see ya when ya get back," Tony said hugging Peter with the gauntlet still in his hand. "Probably be up all night." Tony slipped it on and shot a blast at one of the targets, "Still cleaning this." Wade paled and Peter looked mortified.

"Dad!" Peter exclaimed. Tony shrugged and they began leaving with Tony trailing after them.

"Now son, you buckle up and have him back ten-let's say about nine… thirty," Tony tacked on seeing the look on Peter's face. "Drive safe." Tony watched as his son walked out as Steve walked down noticing the Ironman gauntlet.

"What's that Tony?" Steve asked.

"Ironman gauntlet."

"Why?"

"Putting the fear of GOD into on Wade Wilson," Tony said winking.

"You didn't threaten him did you?" Steve asked almost as mortified as Peter had been.

"It's all for show, no one's gonna get hurt. It's a Daddy thing, and hey believe me, man it works," Tony said.

"How?" Steve asked.

"Pepper's dad was a gun collector," Tony said shuttering. Steve chuckled and kissed the top of Tony's head.

"Just don't shoot our son's boyfriend."

"As long as he doesn't give me reason to."
