Author's Note: My version of Fred and George's bond.

Fred and George.

An inseparable duo, like fish and chips. When asking of their whereabouts, one did not just ask for Fred or George. Never one or the other. Always Fred and George.

They were the pranksters, the biggest tricksters to set foot in Hogwarts since James Potter and Sirius Black. They made even the saddest of people laugh. They smiled in the darkness.

Fred and George were also fiercely protective of each other. No one dared try to hit a bludger at one of the Weasley twins while playing Quidditch. The twins were intelligent, and would murder anyone who dared to touch the other.

They were truly inseparable. They even shared a bed. That displeased their parents but their relationship wasn't like that! When Molly had tried to separate them at age ten Fred screamed and George clung to him crying. Their mother finally gave in but made them promise to stop this foolishness when they got to Hogwarts. They didn't of course. They liked being close and plus, George had nightmares. Their parents didn't know because as a child George always went to Fred. He had nightmares about Fred being tortured and killed. They only got worse as he got older. Fred would pull him close and hug him tightly until George fell asleep.

They promised each other that they would always be together. Even in death. They told each other if the other died, the twin still alive would kill himself. They were always there for each other, doing what the other could not. When George lost his ear Fred told him he didn't need it because Fred would hear for him. That was how close they were.

Most twins complain about wanting to be their own person. Not The Weasley twins. They were like one soul in two bodies. They could just glance at each other and tell what the other was thinking. They wanted to be together. Forever. Always laughing and joking.

George waited a month after Fred died. He wrote letters to his family, Harry, Lee, and Hermione. He got his affairs in order.

That day, he waited until his family was out of the house. He went up to his and Fred's room. He laid the letters and his will next to him. George laid down, smiled, and pointed his wand at his head.

"I'm coming Fred." He whispered and then said the spell that would reunite him with his soul mate. His other half. His Fred.

His family and friends were sad but not surprised. Fred and George. Never one or the other. Forever joined, in life or death. Fred and George could not be separated. It was a law of the universe for them to be together.
