I don't own Hank the Cowdog or its characters. I do however own my characters and the story plot.
An old lady was sitting in here rocking chair watching a herd of horses. By her feet lay a brown hound dog. The dog perked up and looked around.
The old lady spoke, Don't be afraid. The dog is the storyteller for this series. I am Grandma Annie."
Suddenly the dog stood up and wiggled.
He sat down and said, "Ok, I am wake now…Oh, you want a name?...Well, I am storyteller Camron to the Hank the Cowdog series. Now onto the story…"
One early in the morning, Hank slept on his gunny sack in the shed. He suddenly woke up and sniffed the air.
Hank said," Ok,... I smell bacon somewhere."
He looked over and noticed that his partner was gone. He got up and walked out. He headed toward the house think of bacon. He walked on the porch and looked in the window. The mistress cooked in the kitchen but his master was no were to be seen. He heard a loud bark in the back field.
Hank barked, "There is trouble in the back field."
He ran to the back field expected to find wild dogs. Half panting, Hank looked around. The cows ate peacefully. No sign of wild dogs or a fight scene were found.
Hank said, "What is going on? Where is that smell?
He sat down to think when his master yelled, "Hank! Get over here!"
Hank looked around and saw his master near the back of the shed. His partner was sitting in the shade. Something was happening to the pile.
He trotted over and sat near his partner.
His partner asked, "What were you doing over there?"
Hank looked at him and replied, "I thought I heard trouble over there. "
His partner said, "Oh that was me."
Hank said, "Why didn't you report this to me?"
His partner looked down and said, 'OH, I didn't know that."
Hank eyed the pile and asked, "What is that?"
His partner replied, "Oh, those are leaves that our master is burning."
He watched the pile and thought, "I was so silly. What was I thinking?"
Camron concluded, "It looks like Hank got some trouble with sinse of smell. Maybe he should try using his nose nest time…Well, this is storyteller Camron singing off until next time. Bye for now!"
We left as Camron started to bark at the horses.
