(So, how many lawyers do YOU think it takes to completely embarrass the private eye? Poor Jess. DareJones fic. Enjoy~)
"Pick me up."
Wow.
That through the blind man for a loop.
The two were just hanging out in his apartment escaping the cold and the 'come near me and I will beat you with a rusty pipe' private eye wants physical contact. Hell's Kitchen must be completely frozen over.
"Why?"
"People always joke around about the fact that I, like most others, am able to drag your sorry ass out of the dumpster."
He snorts at the statement.
"So what's your point Jess?"
"I want to see if you can lift me up, or are you really that weak?" she taunts him. Matt can feel the vein in his head ready to burst and accepts his companion's challenge. They stand face-to-face as Matt slowly puts his hands on Jessica's waist.
"Do you mind if I hold you from underneath your shirt?"
"You know, normally my dates buy me dinner before going straight to second base Murdock," she teases. He grins at her which makes her blush a bit.
"How about I buy you dinner afterwards?" he asks in her ear with a husky voice all too familiar. Jessica shakes it off and pushes him back a smidge.
"Jesus Matt you are unbelievable."
"I know," he says. "But seriously it would give me a better grip on you. Otherwise it might reveal more than you want. Which wouldn't be too terrible~"
"Ok, one, down counselor. And two, let's stop getting off track." He nods to her and starts to place his hands on her waist.
"Just to make sure, you're ok with this right? I'm not crossing any boundaries."
"No, I trust you." The sentence warms his heart as his hands move under her shirt and landed on her waist. Jessica was surprised that his hands were so warm.
"Ready?" he asks.
"Ready."
In one swift motion his lifts her up just above his head. Her feet dangled from the realization of not being on the ground, She looks down at him and sees a large goofy grin on the devil boys face. Blood was rushing up to her face as she shakes a little like a scared cat being held by a small child. Matt could feel her becoming uneasy and gently puts her back on the ground.
"You ok Jones?" he asks worried.
"Yeah… yeah, I'm fine," she says looking away from him trying so desperately to calm herself. Breaking the tension he responds with, "So you wanna grab a drink… or food.. or something?" She notices from the corner of her eye that the man was turning a deeper shade of red. She laughs at him with a sweet smile.
"Yeah, I'd like that."
(Well, that's it. Feel free to comment, Bye~)
