It was a day to remember! People cheered.
Zoro sat in the bar and ordered another drink. The world around him blurred, and he couldn't think straight, but he didn't care. His captain, more valuable than any of his goals or aspirations, was dead, and he couldn't do anything about it.
He would have gladly exchanged his status as the world's greatest swordsman to get Luffy back. He would have died a thousand deaths, endured anything.
He just wanted Luffy back.
He ordered another drink, and chugged it all. He couldn't see the world around him anymore. People cheered, he thought of his captain. In his alcohol induced state, that was all he could think about.
The boy in the straw-hat, with that huge grin and the red vest always smiled. Now he couldn't.
"Hey Zoro!" the boy in his memory shouted, "We reached Raftle!" The day was surely one to remember. Luffy had been so happy, the rest of the crew cheering.
He didn't remember where the others were at that moment. He could barely remember his own name. All he could remember was Luffy.
"Hey Zoro," Luffy had said, grinning his signature grin, "I'm going to get captured by the marines. Don't stop me, captain's orders!"
The only orders Zoro didn't want to follow.
What did he do?
"I won't die! It'll take more than an execution to kill me!" Luffy smiled, leaving those last words to Zoro.
The room blurred, more and more, with each drink Zoro consumed, but Luffy stayed clear.
Yes Captain. You didn't die.
You never will.
AN: So, I hope this turned out alright :)
